Bettie’s Pages Now Open in Downtown Lowell

Last week, on January 2, Bettie’s Pages celebrated their Great Opening.  We wrote about the new business last month.  Due to some unforeseen circumstances the location at 96 E. Main Street is not yet ready for occupancy.  However, that hasn’t stopped business owner Nicole Lintemuth from opening her store. She was able to secure a temporary location at 100B E. Main Street, just a couple of doors down from her final destination.

If you stopped in during opening weekend celebration treats were available.

The temporary location is about half the anticipated space, but will contain just as much fun.  A small reading nook is available for those who would like to sit and get comfy for a bit while taking in a good book.  And all of the various genres of books will be available. As stock is depleted more selections will be brought in.

Is there a particular title you’re looking for?  You can start a wish list with Bettie’s Pages and be notified should the title become available.  Use the contact form on their website to start your wish list!  A discount is offered every day to teachers, veterans, and union members.  There’s also a house account available for teachers to use! Those who bring in used books from a personal collection have the option of taking an in-store credit or donate the credit to the house account.

Lintemuth is excited about those who have already stopped by the store and eager to meet other members of the community.

During the Great Opening and continuing through this week, customers can receive a 10% discount if a review or check-in in completed on Facebook.  For those not on social media, complete an in-store book review card to receive the discount. “It’s been exciting and terrifying to finally get open, I’m so thankful to everyone who has come out this first week and look forward to meeting more people and growing!” says Lintemuth.

Keep an eye out for special events and happenings at Bettie’s Pages as the new business gets established and then moves to their permanent location.  For more information about this used bookstore, visit their webpage or check our their Facebook page.  Bettie’s Pages is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am-7pm and Sunday 2pm-5pm (closed on Mondays).
