Get Your Golden Ticket and Shop In Store Surprises
Sales, specials, prizes, and more can be found this Saturday at Mi Hometown Furnishings as they throw a party for their first anniversary.  Last year, during their grand opening, people filled the store and spilled onto the sidewalk waiting to hear if they would be selected to win shopping spree in the store.  This year, you do not have to be present to win. You do have to register online and stop in to validate your entry at some point during open hours on Saturday in order to be eligible for the $3,000 shopping spree prize drawing.

Those who validate their online entry will also receive a golden ticket.  Listed on each ticket will be participating businesses offering discounts, giveaways, and one day specials as part of the celebration include with Main Street BBQ, LowellArts, Springrove Variety – Lowell, Red Barn Market – Ice Cream and Fresh Produce, Sneaker’s, A Charmed Life Nail Salon, Euphoria Boutique, Big Boiler Brewing, Tap House Bo, Lennon & Willow Boutique, Sweet Seasons, and North Star Antiques.

Mum’s the word on specific specials happening at Mi Hometown Furnishings on Saturday, but according to owner Heather Palcowski, “We can say that absolutely everything will be on sale.”  These sales will be bigger than any they’ve done in the past. Whatever surprises are in store will only be good on Saturday – no rainchecks or presales. Activities will be going on all day throughout the store.  Anyone spending $1,000 or more on Saturday will also have a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas or Orlando!

Looking Back and Aiming Ahead
“We owe the success of Mi Hometown to this amazing community and the support of shopping local.”  says Palcowski. As with any new business, there are growing pains. But Heather and her husband Ken have learned and made adjustments as needed.  “We listen, we really listen. Good or bad, we hear our customers.”

As a result in listening to customers’ comments, a new custom furniture line is now available.  New vendors selling accessories have also been added over the past year to help complete the shopping experience.  Regardless of your style of decorating and furnishing a home, there’s something which will fit in nearly every home in the store.

On a personal note, the Palcowski’s added another member to the family.  Bobby was born March and is the second son for Heather and Ken. Older brother Tripp is enjoying his new role as well.  While juggling a newborn, a preschool student, a store, and a personal life is challenging at times, the family wouldn’t change any of it.  Both boys will grow up being part of the store and the community.

As Mi Hometown Furnishings heads into their second year, they will continue to offer great products at affordable pricing.  The small town, specialized service customers receive will ensure they’re around for many more anniversaries in the future. Even if you’ve been into the store, items are continually changing so it’s a new experience nearly every time you look around.
