Christmas Through Lowell Location Guide: Outside Downtown Lowell

These are just a handful of the many stops throughout the Lowell community who will be participating in Christmas Through Lowell.

Additional information about Christmas Through Lowell can be found on the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce website.  The information includes a link to a list of locations which provides an address and pin on a map of each location.  If you missed our article about this year’s featured artist, GlessBoards you can view it here.

Why is CTL a great event?
We enjoy meeting all sorts of old friends and new friends during the day we participate in Christmas through Lowell.  It is a way for us to invite people to our center particularly who have never been here or heard of us before, even though we have lived here since 1972.

We are happy to have others enjoy some of the materials/notions that have been donated here over the years for their own use and enjoyment.  Our volunteers take such good care of whatever is donated and it gives us great pleasure to share the wealth of things that have been given to us from other generous folks.  All the proceeds we raise are given to our work with our volunteers and all they make for organizations such as St. John’s Home, Santa Claus Girls, etc.

Business/vendor established: Just over one year.  I started preserving in my home kitchen and fell in love! I have always been experimental with my flavors, and when I started making jams and preserves with a twist things just clicked. Since having our daughter three and a half years ago I’ve been searching for something to be a creative outlet – I was shocked to stumble upon this after searching for so long! My husband built me a huge shelf in our basement to fill with my creations, and it only took three months to fill it! At that point my husband refused to build me another shelf, so I started giving it away. A few friends of mine suggested I start selling my products because they were so good… and here I am!  CTL was my first show!
Why is CTL a great event?
I love connecting with the people! I love seeing their faces when they try one of my jams – the way their faces light up when they taste something they never could have expected. I love talking to people about food, and helping them think about ingredients in whole new ways! I encourage people to think beyond the label, using my products in baking, cocktails, meat glazed, salad dressing starters and more. Having conversations about food and helping people find a flavor just for them – or someone they care about – is super fulfilling.
