City Hall Welcomes Amy Brown as New Deputy City Clerk

Amy Brown has been in her new role, taking over for now retired Theresa Mundt, for less than a month.  However, she is familiar with the Lowell community and is looking forward to being a contributing member as Deputy City Clerk.

Experience in Government
Brown was the Deputy Clerk at Grattan Township in Belding prior to accepting the position at City Hall.  But she is familiar with the area saying, “I love coming to the City of Lowell to eat and shop, everyone is very friendly, my children go to Lowell Schools.”  The children she speaks of are Savannah and Ellyonna. Her husband of 17 years, Greg, rounds out the family.

She says she will miss former co-workers, but also feels working in Lowell will allow her to grow personally.  In just a handful of weeks, she is already impressed with how many different people are involved with making the area grow.  

Being busy all day is one thing Brown cites as an enjoyable part of the job.  She is thankful for the welcome she has received from City staff and is eager to meet residents, many likely at election time, as she becomes familiar with her new role.  

Bringing Value to the Community
A true Michigander, Brown grew up in Jackson, moved to Ann Arbor for eight years, and has lived in the Grand Rapids area since 1999.  She’s eager to use her skills to do her part in adding value to the community. Whatever that might be. And it may change over the years.  But she’s ready to discover how her role as Deputy City Clerk will allow her to contribute the flourishing and success of Lowell.

“Family, family oriented, happy, many events to attend, a great school system, and a great place to call home” are all included on Brown’s list of things which come to mind when thinking about the Lowell community.  If you see Amy Brown at City Hall or elsewhere in the community, introduce yourself and give her a warm Lowell welcome.
