Congratulations to Team South on winning 13th Annual Food Fight Competition!

We received the following press release from Flat River Outreach Ministries.

Lowell, Michigan – The 13th Annual Food Fight Campaign for FROM (Flat River Outreach Ministries) wrapped up on June 1 and it was the biggest one yet! Together, the Greater Lowell community helped raise more than 156,455 points between Team North and Team South.

Team South raised 90,913 points with Team North raising 65,342 points. Those points represent more than 11,300 food items collected and $145,000 raised in financial contributions.

“We are so thankful for the continued generosity of our community,” Arianne Hall, Development Director, said. “Our goal was 150,000 points and we are so excited and thankful that our community helped us surpass that. We know that’ll make such a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need this year.”

A big thank you to everyone who participated in Food Fight – whether you made a financial donation, collected food, were a food collection site for FROM, or shared social media posts.

“We loved seeing so many folks share pictures of Food Fight barrels, encouraging people to join their team, and all the beautiful stories of generosity we saw all throughout the month of May,” Hall said.

It’s only through the whole community that FROM is able to reach and come alongside neighbors in need – everyday. Food Fight 2023 will kick off May 1, 2023 and run through June 1, 2023.
