Drink the Rainbow Event Encourages Healthy Choices for Kids

Dawn Hamilton became a certified Health Coach as a result of her own health journey.  After being diagnosed with multiple autoimmune issues and disease, she started researching nutrition and how it affects health.  In 2011 Hamilton received her Raw Food Chef certification from the Creative Health Institute. And in 2016 she became a Certified Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.  Hamilton is a Lowell resident, where she and her husband raised four children.

Encompassing You was created seven years ago.  Hamilton owns this business and uses it to share her knowledge of nutrition, health, and living a healthy lifestyle.  “My events are meant to educate, inform and encourage others to listen to their own  body and be responsible for their health. People are sick and tired of being sick and tired. I am here to guide them in a more holistic approach.” says Hamilton.  An upcoming event in Lowell is geared toward families wanting to learn about replacing sugary drinks with healthier options which as still fun for kids.

Healthy Events in Lowell
Hamilton teaches yoga classes at Lowell Family Chiropractic.  Her spring class has already started and is full. A Bend and Brew yoga event taking place at New Union Brewery is sold out as well.  The Encompassing You event page is updated when new events are added.

A family friendly event still has open seats.  Drink the Rainbow and Veggie Stamping class will take place on Saturday, May 5 at the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce at 2pm.  This interactive class will have kids exciting about making a healthy drink as they see the different colors obtained from fruits and vegetables as well as taste them.  Kids will be able to create some veggie stamping art as well. Participants will leave the event with recipes to try at home.

Eat Well, Live Well
Classes, programs, and services offered through Encompassed by You are aimed at helping families and individuals make healthier nutrition which don’t have to lack flavor or fun.  Whole foods lacking chemicals, dyes, and added sugar can lead to increase energy and better overall health.

Holistic health coaching is about teaching different people their specific needs to be their optimal best.” says Hamilton of her coaching approach.  She works with individuals to develop a plan which will work for their schedule and lifestyle. “Most people are overworked, over-stressed and undernourished. We live in a society of instant gratification, and our eating habits reflect that.” she continues.

Hamilton has enjoyed being able to offer classes and events in Lowell.  A Bend and Brunch event is in the works for June and details will be released soon.  Find and like Encompassing You on Facebook to stay up to date on upcoming classes, events, and other information.
