We received the following from Flat River Outreach Ministries regarding their October Volunteers of the Month.
The Volunteer of the Month for October is our Backpack Volunteers! Due to the efforts of the Backpack Volunteers we were able to provide a record number of children with backpacks this year.
Thank you to the Backpack Leadership Team for all of your leadership, planning, coordination, gathering of supplies and more! This team started planning in April and put in over 75 hours! Thank you to all of the volunteers who worked ahead of time to collate and assemble the supplies, organize and set up the room and all those who worked on the distribution dates to help families sign-in and pick out their supplies. These volunteers put in over 152 hours to ensure that children were able to start the new school year off right.
While we don’t have photos of every single person who volunteered their time, we appreciate each and every one of you!
