We received the following about FROM’s volunteers of the month for September.
The Volunteer of the Month for August is our Summer Lunch Buddies Volunteers! Over 35 Lunch Buddies volunteers donated a total of 854 hours over the summer!!
Summer Lunch Buddies volunteers do things behind the scenes like order and pick up food and stock the shelves with supplies ahead of time. On Tuesdays they greet families, help them pack a “happy plate”, answer any questions families have while shopping for food and much more. This Summer the Alto Lions also came multiple times to provided free vision screening for children and the Red Arrow Readers were on hand too.
Thank you to all those who volunteered in Lunch Buddies over the summer. We weren’t able to capture each and every one who volunteered, but know that we appreciate everything each of you did to help Lunch Buddies run smoothly this summer!
