Fun with FROM: Diane Barnes

In a new series, Flat River Outreach Ministries will be introducing the community to some of the people involved with the organization. We will be sharing information posted on their Facebook page.

Meet Diane Barnes our Administrative Assistant! She’s often the first person you interact with when you walk through our front door, or give us a call. For those of you who attended our #LiveActionClueNight in 2019 may remember her at Mrs. White!
We asked her 5 Questions about #FlatRiverOutreachMinistries and the Greater Lowell Community:
How did you get involved at FROM?
I started as a volunteer in the Thrift Shop because my church (Lowell United Methodist Church) is partners with FROM.
What’s your favorite FROM Program?
All the programs at FROM are great. I work with the Medical Equipment Loan Program and know how grateful people are to be able to borrow durable medical equipment.
What is it about the work FROM does that is so important to you?
I am honored to be a part of an organization that is committed to serving the Lowell Community.
What do you love about the Greater Lowell Community?
The Greater Lowell Community is forward thinking and innovative as we’ve seen during the past year. People have been so generous to FROM supporting our programs with their donations.
What’s a random fact about yourself?
I was born and raised in Lowell and have lived here most of my life.
Please give Diane a warm “hello” the next time you see her in our office, and if you have extra medical equipment you aren’t using, consider donating it to FROM! We are always in need of Medical Equipment like wheelchairs, walkers, canes, bedside and toilet commodes, etc. This allows us to lend out more than 500 pieces equipment (free of charge!) to our community in their time of need each year!
