Fun with FROM: Tarin Hasper

In a new series, Flat River Outreach Ministries will be introducing the community to some of the people involved with the organization. We will be sharing information posted on their Facebook page.
This week you get to meet our newest employee – Tarin Hasper, one of our Thrift Shop Coordinators. We asked Tarin a couple questions to get to know her and her passion for #FlatRiverOutreachMinistries
What drew you to FROM and how did you get involved?
I was drawn to the thrift store! I love a good deal and unique items, both of which you will find here. I wanted to take the next step in support and started volunteering as a cashier. Next came the job posting and the rest is history!
What’s your favorite part of FROM?
My answer’s pretty obvious – the thrift store! You are making a difference by shopping here and donating here! Each donation we receive and each sale we make is so important as it provides strong funding to our other basic needs programs.
What do you love about the Greater Lowell Community?
It’s generosity in times of need through donations of time and resources. I’m also a big fan of having a national scenic trail going right through our community – the NCT(North Country Trail Association)
What’s a random fact about yourself?
Tie-dying is my pandemic skill! I’ve gotten pretty good at face masks and I’m currently working on some tops for the thrift store.
We are always looking for items to stock our Thrift Shop (all funds raised go to help support the mission of FROM and stay local!) Please check out our website at https://fromlowell.org/thriftshopdonations/ to see what items we can accept! We are excited that recently we were able to EXPAND our donation hours to Monday – Saturday 6AM – 6 PM!
