Furry Friday

The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process.  And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional cats, dogs, or farm animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

For additional information about each organization visit their websites or read our intro article to Furry Friday!

Carol’s Ferals

Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.

Kittens are still arriving!  Come introduce yourself, play with them, and get lots of love.  Kitten therapy is AWESOME!

Two brothers and a sister – Archie, Jughead, and Betty.  All three are shy and skittish; Archie is the most outgoing.  Purrs abound when they are petted; however, you need to go to them.  String toys can coax them out, and they love the red dot.  Sadly, most people want cuddly outgoing cats, so the shy ones get overlooked.  Archie, Betty, and Jughead are very sweet and need adopters willing to work with them to help them feel secure and loved.  They can go together or separately.  All need a quiet loving home.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Awesome Agatha, with the uncanny sense of awareness!! Just smell the fresh air. She’s sensing it’s going to be a new and sunny day. A family that wants an amazing new family member may just show up today to adopt her. Her D.O.B. is 8/16/12. The perfect age to fit right in and relax with her new family. Although she is shy, once she knows you she wiggles all over when she sees you. So precious!! Daily walks and daily snuggling are a must.

My name is Guapa. My DOB is 7/21/11. I came to Mackenzie’s without any manners and couldn’t walk very well on a leash. I’ve been working hard on becoming a polite and well mannered dog. I love being the center of attention and will need to go to a home without any cats or dogs. I can sometimes get really excited and jumpy, so I would also prefer a home without any small children.

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

Hi there, my name is Jazzi and I’m just getting started in life! I’m just 10-12 weeks old and ready for adoption! I’m playful and active and I have a sister named Jamie that I love to hang out with! Do you have room for two cuties in your life?

Howdy, I’m Jamie and I’m looking for love! I’m a 10-12 week old kitten who still has a lot of learning and growing to do. My hobbies include running and napping (I’m great at both!). I have a sister named Jazzi and we have a lot of fun together so it would be great if we could be adopted together! We are a little shy at first but will likely warm up once we’ve known you for a while!

And finally, if you’re looking for something to do with your pumpkins the Lowell Farm & Wildlife Center is accepting them as long as they are not moldy or sprayed or painted with anything.
