Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary
Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.
My name is Nori. I love life and all in it. I am a calm and loving girl. I would do best with older kids, due to loving my food so much. I’m a full figure type of gal. I love to play and still like to spend time with my family. I am smart and know all my commands. Walking and playing and just hanging out, are my favorite pass times.
My name is Montana! As you can see from my pictures, I’m one happy girl! I’m only about 7 months old, so I’m still very much a puppy. I love getting out, meeting new people, and seeing and doing new things! I even like to play a little fetch! Running after toys is a lot of fun, and I’m gotten a lot better at bringing the toys back…and patiently waiting for it to be thrown again. I still have a lot to learn, so a family that wants to go on all those adventures with me would be perfect. I’m a bit of a smarty pants, so a class with my new family sounds like fun to me too!
Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue
Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes. Here are their pets of the week.
Ramona is a large lady on the search for her forever home! With Ramona, you won’t be dealing with any puppy-nonsense like tearing up furniture or using your house as a bathroom, cuz as a 5y/o adult, she understands how to conduct herself. She is a very laid-back gal who appreciates things like dog beds, blankets to lay on and bones to chew. She enjoys her morning walk (walks great on leash, but do note she is very strong and can pull you over to something if she wants to), and then happily naps the rest of the day. Ramona has never met a stranger; she loves everyone she meets! She would be an excellent candidate for a take-to-work companion (rides well in the car), or even doing therapy work! She can go to a home with other pets, but only wishes to coexist and not be a play-partner. She would do fine as an only pet as well. Do consider the slobber-factor with the mastiff-side of her makeup! She is a messy drinker and will need her mouth wiped after she drinks, along with your floor by the water dish. She was found as a stray, and was quite skinny at intake; she is working on gaining weight as well as growing back fur in patches she lost due to flea allergies. Ramona is spayed and microchipped, and will be a wonderful addition to any family that loves XL breeds!
Her adoption fee is $250. To adopt Ramona apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adopt
