Furry Friday

The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process. And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional cats and dogs looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

For additional information about each organization visit their websites or read our intro article to Furry Friday!  The following pet profiles are provided by each rescue.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Angela (all white face) and Dwight (brown eye patch) are part of a litter of 7 puppies born at MAS. Stevie was the Momma, and she is a beautiful white terrier mix. Stevie is medium weight and a great Mom. Very kind and tentative to the puppies. We will be taking applications for the puppies now. We will start showing them after Sept 17. They will not be ready though to go home until Mid-October 2019.

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

Holly is a black and white beauty who just finished raising a family of 4 kittens.  She lost a lot of sleep as a mother but did a great job and is ready for a home of her own!  Holly is a quiet girl who enjoys sunbeams and can be quite playful.  We think she’d probably prefer a quieter house.

Carol’s Ferals

Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.

Hi, I’m Monteray! I came to Carol’s in June 2018 with my littermates after we were rescued in the Grand Rapids area. I’m a shy boy; but when I think no one is looking I love to play and be social with my cat friends. I’ll need a family that will be patient with me and help me come out of my shell!

Hi, I’m Podrick. I’m about 4 years old, and came to Carol’s Ferals as part of the TNR project in Cherry Valley. I was a shy guy, but I am doing better. My friends think with the right home and a family of my very own I may come out of my shell! My friends here know I’ve been through a lot, and they hope my furever family is out there somewhere.

Hi, I’m Niles. I’m about a year old, and came to Carol’s Ferals in March 2018. I’m a shy guy, but I’m getting more and more comfortable here every day. I would do well with a family that will be patient with me and give me my own space to own and lounge around in. I love to look out windows and bird watch too!
