Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Odin is a handsome Spitz mix. He was born 5/27/2019. As a puppy, Odin is looking for a loving and patient home that can give him all the good things that he needs to grow up into a happy adult dog!

We are accepting applications now for Odin and his siblings, we will set appointments when they are medically cleared.

My name is Princess! I’m a two and a half year old terrier mix. I’m still pretty new to Mackenzie’s, so as the staff here gets to know me better, they’ll update my information. But what they do know so far is that I’m a total sweetheart! I love spending time with my human friends – both getting pets and just enjoying their company. I’ve also made a couple of canine friends in the short time I’ve been here too! Rolling around in the grass, spending time outside, and running around playing with my buddies are just a few of my favorite things. In the mean time, if you’re looking for a sweet and simple gal to join your home, fill out an application and mention me!

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

Are you ready for Halloween? No?  Well then, have we got the perfect cat for you! This lovely girl is named Gloria and she would be the perfect feline to join your family!  She has the classic Halloween cat “look” but she has personality to spare! She’s a friendly , fun and playful girl who will make a great companion!

Carol’s Ferals

Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.

Hi, I’m Tazanna. I came to Carols Ferals from another rescue. I am just the sweetest girl ever. I love pets, purr when you hold me and LOVE attention!

Hi, I’m Khal. I was rescued as part of a project Carol’s Ferals started in January 2018. I was living in a community with a LOT of other cats, and luckily they came and brought me here so I could get good medical care as well as love and attention. I’m kind of a shy guy, but with patience and a nice home of my own I think I’ll come out of my shell!

Hi, I’m Rhaegal. I am a shy boy but do I ever like my belly rubbed! I won’t be the first one to approach you, but don’t mind if you come to me and give me some pets!

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

If you’re not looking for a perfect dog you can just stop reading now. Izzy is about 5 years old and good at everything. Every. Thing. She is low energy but great with dogs, great with kids, great with cats, doesn’t need to be crated, walks great on a leash, loves every single person she meets. She is all about her people and loves to learn new things for treats. Her foster family says she is “one in a million” and they are very jealous of the family that will get to snuggle her forever. She is up to date on vaccines, chipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $200.

Hailey is a six month old lab/staffy mix who loves to play.  She enjoys playing fetch (but doesn’t always want to give up the toy!) and tug of war and she loves to chew on her toys and bones!  She is working really hard on puppy manners, and would benefit from some puppy classes.  She is crate trained and house trained.  Hailey is great with other dogs and older kids.  She will be microchipped, up to date on vaccines and spayed. Her adoption fee is $200.To adopt this sweet girl apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application
