If you’re looking for a dog who loves to play fetch and knows the whole “kit and caboodle” of commands, I’m Lobo and I’m your guy! As much as I love to play, I also really love a good cuddle session. I enjoy being with my people, and get along great with other dogs, cats, AND kids! I mean really…. you should just end your search here, I’m as good as it’s gonna get! So, what are you waiting for?! Submit your application TODAY!

I’m Ace! Nice to meet you!

I’ll confess – for a long time, new people and new things made me nervous. There’s a big world out there that I didn’t know much about, and my nerves made it hard for me to make a good first impression! Fortunately for me, the staff and volunteers at Mackenzie’s took me under their wing and have helped me see that there’s a lot of cool stuff out there in the world.

Now that I’m a bit older and wiser (my birthday is 9/11/10), I think I’m ready to find myself a forever home. Now that I’ve built up my confidence, I’d love to spend some time getting out and exploring. In the time I’ve been at MAS, the staff and volunteers have helped me to perfect my walking skills! Not to brag, but I think I have some of the best walking skills here. It would make me a great partner for hikes and walks in the park. I also LOVE car rides, so just say my name and I’ll be all ready to go!

Not only do I love taking walks, but I also LOVE playing fetch! If you let me, I could play all day long – but I could be convinced to break for a snooze or hang out while we relax. I’d prefer to be the only pet in the home, but would be happy find myself surrounded by a human family. Ask about me or fill out an application soon!

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

If you want just a really great all-around cat, you have to meet Traveler! Most cat lovers know that there just seems to be something special about orange tabbies and Traveler is no exception. This guy is just a 2-3 year old, cool and happy fellow who really enjoys people. He would make such a great addition to so many different kinds of families and we can’t wait to match him up with his new humans!

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

This handsome boy with the lovable smile and the very kind eyes is Leon! Leon was suffering from severe skin issues when he came to us, but now he is doing really well! He is on the mend and loving life with his foster family. Leon is such a gentleman; he loves cats, dogs, and humans of all ages. He has a very special way about him that makes everyone smile instantly. He is so happy and wonderful. He brings warmth and goofiness to whatever room he walks into. Leon loves to cuddle, and he even asks for snuggles by offering his paw – it’s pretty darn adorable! He has to be touching his human, he has so much love to give! Leon is a 45 pound, 8 year old hound/shepherd mix. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $200. To adopt this wonderful pup apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

This beautiful girl is Bonnie, a 6 month old German Shepherd mix with so much personality! She unfortunately didn’t have a very good start to life.  She and her brother Clyde were strays and got hit by a car.  Sadly both of them lost their left front leg.  Some people would say she was broken but don’t tell her that!  She gets around great!  She loves other dogs and to go on car rides. Her foster mom is working on house training and she’s doing well at it. She is also crate trained. Bonnie is up to date on vaccinations and has been spayed.  Her adoption fee is $250. Apply to adopt her at [email protected].
