Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Leslie and her siblings were born to Penny at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. Her D.O.B. is 1/17/20. We are accepting applications and scheduling visits now, but she will not be able to go home until March 20th or so. She is a cutie.

You read that right! I’m what you might call a “wiggle butt”! I love my human friends with all my heart and when I see them, I wiggle from the tip of my nose to the tip of my tail! I can put a smile on even the grumpiest of faces when I curl into a “C” shaped dog, wiggle my butt, and grunt at you out of excitement! So, if you need a living, breathing antidepressant, look no further! I’m just what the doctor ordered. Submit your application today!

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

This girl? Well, she is a Miracle. Yes, really. This beautiful girl arrived at our local shelter so very sick. She gave birth to 7 babies and lost all but one of them due to the illness. We were so grateful to be able to help her regain her health and get a chance at something better. Miracle is now fully recovered and utterly gorgeous.
She is probably around 2 years old and such a sweet and very friendly girl. It’s like she has seen the worst of life and decided she’s never going to have a bad day again now that she is safe and healthy! She is going to be a real gift to some lucky family. We’re hoping to find someone to love this girl to pieces!

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Lulu is a 7 month old Staffy Mix with amazing, floppy ears – and plenty of spunk!! She’s also a fantastic cuddlier; this adorable munchkin face loves to be her human’s napping buddy. Lulu is working on crate training and is almost finished house training; we’re so proud of this wonderful girl. She loves other dogs, and she would love to have an active live-in land mammal roomie who shares her affinity for cheese whiz, college football and Mariah Carey. Since Lulu is still a puppy and need some basic obedience lessons her future family will be required to attend training with her. No young children please (under 10). Lulu is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $200. To adopt Lulu apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

Meet Bernice! Bernice is a beautiful mixed breed puppy who loves nothing more than to snuggle. She was born around the first of the year, so she’s about two months old already!  She’s laid back and easy going, and loves meeting new people and pets. Her favorite things to do are eat, chew on her toys, chase her sisters around, and then crash on your lap for a nap.  She will be spayed, chipped and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $300.
