Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Hi I’m Robb! Are you looking for the opposite of a workout partner? Same! I consider myself a foodie and a lounger. I’m always counting down the hours to my next snack or meal, so if you’re looking for an accountability partner who will convince you to not stop at Dunkin’ Donuts on your way home from the grocery store, keep it movin’ pal, I am not your guy! My favorite activity for every day that ends in “y” is taking a short walk from my dog bed to the couch and binging the latest series on Netflix, I can also be convinced to take a short stroll from the front door to your car to go for a car ride (to get a dog cookie, of course), or across the backyard to lay in that sunny spot. My favorite hobbies include snuggling, snacks, and being on the receiving end of belly rubs! I will thrive in a home without cats or dogs! Send in your application ASAP, I can’t wait to meet you!

Put your paws together for Rose! This curious and busy gal is always looking for an adventure! Belly rubs and playing outside are the top of her list of favorite things! Rose is looking for a family that loves to be outside and on the go, always looking for the next adventure! Once the activity quiets down, she can be persuaded to cuddle (as long as you promise to rub her belly!). Aside from running and playing, Rose also loves to go for car rides, they are one of her absolute favorite things (a close second to belly rubs). She rides perfectly in the car, so if you’re looking for a road trip partner, sign her up! Send in your adoption application to set up a meeting with this happy-go-lucky girl!

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Spice is a Swiss Mountain Dog mix who is about 7 or 8 months old and already weighs 60 pounds.  If she were a Spice Girl she would be Smarty Spice because she already knows sit, down, stay, and is doing great with her house and crate training.   Spice loves to be near her people and her dog BFF.  Spice is a very playful dog who will need any doggie roommates to enjoy running and roughhousing as much as she does.  She is also too interested in cats so she is looking for a home with no feline friends.  Spice has the energy of 7 month puppy so she will also need a fenced in yard where she can run off some of her zoomies.  Because of her size and age, she could certainly knock a toddler or young child over unintentionally so will need a home with kids over 12.   Spice is up to date on her vaccines, has been spayed, and microchipped and is looking forward to meeting her furever family.
