The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process.  And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional cats and dogs looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week. 

I’m Kodi! My birthday is 3/22/13. Being a little older, I’ve really learned to appreciate all the little things – but my two favorite things are being outside, and cuddling up with my people. The staff and volunteers here have worked on my walking skills, and one of them has even worked with me on being a great running partner (she tells me I’m a perfect running buddy, and I’m inclined to believer her…)! I can definitely keep up at pretty good pace, but when it’s time to take a break, I’ll admit I can be a bit of beach bum. Sometimes it’s nice to just sit back, and take it all in.

While I get to live out my dream every day of walks and playing outside, it all would be so much sweeter if I had a forever friend to wake up and hit the trails with every day. Fill out an application and mention me!

I’m Indie, and if I check all your boxes, you check all of mine! I’m following my nose to find an active family that will help me explore every smell this world has to offer! Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week. 

Jackson is a sweet 11 year old Goldendoodle. Even though he is a senior, you would never know it! He loves to cuddle, meet new people, and walks like a dream on a leash. Jackson enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a home with another dog who can show him the ropes! He is a little socially awkward but enjoys chasing other dogs around the yard. Jackson is curious about the world and does like to explore, so he would benefit from a securely fenced in yard to keep him safe. He would be a great fit for a family with kids who are respectful of his age! He also is good with cats! He is ready to spend his golden years curled up on the couch with a new family who can be dedicated to giving him the greatest years of his life! Jackson is used to being left out when his people are gone and does well. He is also house trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots, and his adoption fee is $200. Trixie has beautiful hazelnut eyes and the most adorable facial expressions. She also has big floppy ears and loves her snuggles. Trixie loves cats, dogs and humans of all ages. She’s crate trained, house trained and she walks very well on a leash. She is a 20 pound, 8 month old Doxy/Vizsla Mix who came to our Rescue all the way from Louisiana. We would love to find Trixie an active family that will take her to puppy classes.
