Bandit, an adoptable American Bulldog Mix in Lake Odessa, MI

My name is Barkley. What a cutie I am, or so I have been told. I really like it here though. I may need a home with another dog, because I really miss my people when they leave me. I am dog selective though, so the right friend would be important. I would love to go for walks and runs, and really just hang out with you and be loved. I am curious about cats, but may decide that I want to chase them. I will need a home that wants to give me some time, especially at first.

My D.O.B. is 7/22/16.

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Fynn and his adorable puppy siblings came to our rescue all the way from Louisiana. He is a 3 month old Heinz-57 with apricot fur and the most adorable smile! Fynn is doing a great job working on his crate training and house training. He is very smart and uncommonly sweet. He can be shy at first, but he opens up very quickly. Fynn is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.  His adoption fee is $350.  To adopt Fynn, apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

Are you looking for a king to rule over your home?  Well, meet King George III!  While he isn’t a tyrant like his namesake, George the Dog takes pride in keeping an eye on every corner of his home and the land around it.  He is a very busy guy who loves walks and playing with other dogs.  George pretty much has two speeds – running full speed anywhere and everywhere or sleeping.  Estimated at about a year old, this adorable 15-pound pup is looking for a home with a fenced in yard and a fun doggy playmate.  He doesn’t care what size his dog friends are as long as they like to play like crazy!  George is good with respectful kids of all ages, but if toys are left laying around, he is sure to claim them as his own.  He also is great with cats as long as they don’t run (in which case he will join in on the run – gotta stay in shape!)

While he is unique in just about every way, you might have also noticed that George is missing quite a bit of hair.  He has stumped a number of vets, and we have run a number of tests – all of which have come back completely normal.  His bloodwork is pristine, and he has a clean bill of health other than that he is missing hair.  George isn’t self-conscious about it because he thinks it makes him stand out even more; he just gets a little chilly in a cold breeze!

George is still working on house training but is doing well, and he is crate trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.  His adoption fee is $300, and you can apply to adopt His Highness George at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application
