Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Dutch is a handsome pit/lab mix. He’s timid at first introduction but warms up quick.   Despite weighing in around 55 lbs, he thinks he’s a lap dog and enjoys sitting on or by his favorite humans.

While he adores his foster sis (dog), he has no interest in playing with her. His ideal home will be as an only pet so he can have all the attention, or one with another mellow dog who is not toy/treat possessive.   He enjoys going for walks and taking long naps.

Dutch is neutered and up to date on vaccinations  His adoption fee is $250. For his safety, homes with electric fences and renters will not be considered.

Balto is a once in a lifetime dog. He is a big happy bear with the best personality and the biggest smile. He loves everyone; cats, dogs, kids – he has so much love to give, and he gives it so freely. Balto is a 110 pound, 9 year old Rottweiler who came to our rescue from our good friends at Pound Buddies in Muskegon. He loves to play with his doggie foster brother, and he is always up for an adventure. Balto has a soft tissue sarcoma on his foot that can’t be removed. Despite this, he moves very well and he doesn’t seem to be in any pain. It is an ailment that will need to be monitored daily. This Senior Sweetheart is looking for a forever home that will fill his final years with love and dignity. Balto is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $175.  To adopt this big happy bear apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application
