Akira is a beautiful, Catahoula Mix. Her D.O.B. is 2-28-19. She is still a young girl. She has an independent personality, She loves to play, and would make a great jogging, or walking partner. She loves to talk to you when she is playing. Akira, has so much potential, and with the right fit of a family, she is going to grow into a great companion. At her last rescue Akira was in a 6 dog play group. She seems to be a little more selective with her friends at MAS. She did not do well on her cat intro, so could not go to a home with cats. Older children would be best for her as well due to her energy level.

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

This sweet soul is Agnes, a female pittie estimated to be about 10 years old who weighs in at about 50 pounds  Agnes is a sweetheart of a girl who is quickly learning how good life can be as a family member who is loved and safe.  She is good with other dogs of all sizes and cats.  She is still learning to be a dog, but she does enjoy wrestling a little with her foster brothers, running around the yard, and chewing on a bone.  She loves to lay on the couch or sit and look out the window with her foster brothers, but her favorite time of day is when it’s time to go for a walk! Agnes is doing well with house training but still has an occasional accident.  She is crate trained but also can be left out unsupervised while you are gone!  Every day Agnes gets a little more comfortable and we see a little more of her goofy spirit come out.  She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots.  Her adoption fee is $175, and you can apply to adopt her at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

Everyone please meet Maddie, a beautiful, 6-8 year old pittie mix with a sleek, silvery grey coat, the softest ears and little pink tongue that gives the gentlest little kisses.

Maddie came to us from a shelter in Louisiana heartworm positive and in need of entropion surgery because her eyelashes were rubbing on her eye causing discomfort. She has completed her treatment and been such a trooper through it all! She’s never anything but sweet, gentle and trusting. She loves her people!

We think her ideal family will be an active couple who will take her on walks or runs, or a family with older kids who’d enjoy playing outside with her. She would love to have a dog friend about her size to play and wrestle with, too. Of course Maddie also loves her quiet time for snuggles and afternoon naps. We wouldn’t recommend a family with very young children or cats as she can be very exuberant!

Maddie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Are you the right home for this beautiful girl? Her adoption fee is $250. Please apply at rescueofhope.com.
