Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

I’m Kodi! My birthday is 3/22/13. Being a little older, I’ve really learned to appreciate all the little things – but my two favorite things are being outside, and cuddling up with my people. The staff and volunteers here have worked on my walking skills, and one of them has even worked with me on being a great running partner (she tells me I’m a perfect running buddy, and I’m inclined to believer her…)! I can definitely keep up at pretty good pace, but when it’s time to take a break, I’ll admit I can be a bit of beach bum. Sometimes it’s nice to just sit back, and take it all in.

While I get to live out my dream every day of walks and playing outside, it all would be so much sweeter if I had a forever friend to wake up and hit the trails with every day. Fill out an application and mention me!

Vito is my name, and I love it. I came to Mackenzie’s from being taken in as a stray from another shelter. My Birthday is: 09/09/2018 As you can see I’m still a youngster and have lots of energy. I would love a home that is active and likes to play. I love squeaky toys and playing keep away. I will give them up though if you really want them. I would be best with older kids, as young ones may get knocked over by me. I know the commands sit, stay and come and shake. I am super smart so I know if you take the time with me, I can learn lots more. I am sort of dog selective right now. That means I might like some and not others. I met a cat, and seemed unsure, so would probably take some work in the home. Lots of baby steps to get us to like each other.

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Murphy is a 4 month old Retriever/Black Mouth Cur mix with the cutest little face! Murphy loves dogs, he loves to wrestle and play, and then he loves even more to snuggle; he’s such a love! He is doing a fantastic job with his house training and crate training. Murphy is smart and loves to learn new things. He would really love to go to puppy classes with his forever humans, and he would love a fenced in yard where he can safely play. Murphy is a touch shy at first, but he warms up quickly. He will need a patient home that nurtures his growth and gives him confidence. He is going to fill a home with so much love and laughter. Murphy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $300.  To adopt Murphy apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

Pickles is a 35 pound, 5 year old Staffy Mix with gorgeous brown eyes and the goofiest personality. She’s so goofy !! She is house trained, crate trained and always up for an adventure. Pickles is amazing with kids, and she loves romping around with her doggie buddies. She prefers pups with a more laid back personality. Pickles would prefer a home without cats, and one that would take her to puppy classes. This sweet pup is going to need an experienced, special home that will build her confidence, teach her good habits and show her how to dog. She has so much love to give, and she is so excited to bring her goofy, lovable personality into a very lucky home. Pickles is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots.  Her adoption fee is $250. To adopt Pickles apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application
