Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Little Christmas Hope and her 6 sisters were brought to Michigan when their mother was cruelly shot and killed in Arkansas. They were left for local shelter workers to find them in a laundry basket with another orphaned litter by the side of the road. She was only a pound and a half, and sickly then, but since coming to Hearts of Hope, she has grown to a healthy 5+ pounds! Now at around 7 weeks of age, she has begun to search for her forever home here in the north! We believe the litter is some mix of terriers, possibly including Jack Russell, but without a DNA test, we have no true poof of what actual breeds they may be. Hope is a small drama queen, and is very vocal and rough when playing with her sister, loves tug of war, chewing on things; especially shoe laces, and to chase her foster siblings around the house. Since she was so young and ill when first coming here, and it was too cold for her to go outside in Michigan, she needs someone who will be home alot to complete potty training her. And since all she really wants from her people is to play with her, feed her, cuddle her or just carry her around; being around her most of her waking hours would be on her priority list as well! She would benefit greatly by attending puppy training and socialization classes. Hope will be spayed, microchipped, and receive her first vaccines before adoption. The completion of her puppy vaccine series at our local vet is included in her $350 adoption fee. Could Hope be your forever girl?

Peggy is a ridiculously cute 4 month old Heinz 57 who came to our rescue all the way from Arkansas. She is doing an excellent job with her crate training and house training, and she is learning many basic commands. Peggy is very smart and loves to learn new things; she would love to take puppy classes with her new humans. Peggy loves kids and dogs and she is always up for an outdoor adventure. This little munchkin is going to fill her forever home with so much laughter, so many snuggles, and endless love. Peggy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $300.
