Furry Friday

The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process.  And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional cats, dogs, or farm animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

For additional information about each organization visit their websites or read our intro article to Furry Friday!

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Angie is the sweetest dog ever. She really loves to just hang out with her people. She is a great companion and will fit right into a home with people who enjoy walks, and relaxing in the evenings. Her D.O.B. is 12/07/15. She was being fostered by an MAS employee, and she lived in a home with cats. She has met a couple other dogs and was fine. She can be shy at first with both people and other dogs, until she knows you. She does well with older kids.

Crockett is an exceptionally intelligent and incredibly handsome Border Collie/Lab Mix with a DOB of 6/2/13. After lots of hard work on basic manners and obedience, Crockett has grown from a naughty youngster into a polite and well-mannered fella! Even though Crockett has come a long way, he would do best in a home without young kids. With an experienced adopter and a quiet home, a smart guy like Crockett would thrive in an active home – one where his days could be filled with walks, hikes, road trips, camping…he’s up for any kind of adventure!

Carol’s Ferals

Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.

If you are searching for someone who will eagerly greet you at the door when you come home, come check me out! I’m Clifton.  I am a very loving boy who just happens to be FIV+. No worries on that. Go ahead, Google it. I can live a long and healthy life. Come check me out!

I’m Wonton II.  I am a soft, sweet boy who would make anyone happy. My mom got sick and had tons of bills, so she had to move from her house to a place which didn’t allow cats. I lost my best friend when she brought me back to CF. I’m not what you’d call a greeter at CF, so I get overlooked when people come in. If you are looking for a loving companion, come ASK for me. I love getting belly rubs.  You won’t be sorry.

Hi there!  I’m Ashton.  Clifton and I usually race each other to the door to greet people. I have been known to be an attention hog. If you are looking for a playful handsome boy, come check me out. I live to play  Perhaps you’d like Clifton AND me. We are both FIV+, but we don’t let that get in our way, and neither should you.

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

Dundee and Dublin are a bit shy at first but warm up quickly as they get to know you. We’d love to find a quiet home for these fellows where they can settle in and become comfortable with their new family. They are about 3 years old and have the cutest fluff/tufts of hair by their ears! They are quite bonded to each other and would be thrilled if they could go home together.
