Furry Friday

The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process.  And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Hi, my name is Bumi. I am one of the adorable pups at MAS. My littermates and I came in with our dad, Zuko, and our mom, Mai. Dad weighs about 45lbs and mom weighs about 65lbs, so when I grow up, I will be a medium to large size dog.

Since I am still a young puppy, I am looking for a home that can help teach, guide, and socialize me. With patience and love from my new family, I am sure to grow from a sweet pup to a well rounded adult!

Smart, handsome, affectionate, friendly…Ready to complete my forever family! I am very treat motivated, I love learning new tricks! I like to practice “come”, “sit”, “shake”, and “stay”. A couple of my favorite things are getting attention, and booty scratches. I would be a happy guy to go to a home with kids or another dog, but I would be best in a home without any cats. I love ropes and tug toys, I like to save them for later on my bed. I am what they call a “silly boy”. I also love to go for walks! I might even be a good candidate to be a jogging partner. Just strap on my harness and I am ready to go!

Milton is a great catch. He has so much potential, with a little training to fine tune his already great manners, he is sure to be the perfect addition to a very lucky family. If you are interested in adopting Milton, visit www.mackenzies.info to fill out an adoption application.

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Mabel is just over here living her best life.  She is a terrier mix of some kind who is 4 months old and approximately 25 pounds.  She loves playing with other dogs and going for walks.  But Mabel’s favorite thing to do is sleep in odd positions while she snores away.  She likes what she likes.  She also loves chasing the cat … she just wants to play … but not all cats will appreciate her style.   She is crate trained, but like all young puppies, will need a little patience as she is finishing up her potty training.  Mabel is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccines, and her adoption fee is $300.

Coco is a big ball of adorable, s’more colored, brindle cuteness !! Coco is a 30 pound, 2 year old Mountain Cur Terrier Mix with very thoughtful brown eyes and amazing, floppy radar ears. She’s a very good listener. She is house trained, crate trained, and she does very well with cats, dogs and humans of all ages – she’s just perfect. Coco is extremely cuddly; she gives the very best hugs !!Coco is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots.  Her adoption fee is $250. To adopt Coco apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application
