The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process.  And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Minka is a 56 pound, 1 and a half year old Husky with the most gorgeous blue eyes and the goofiest personality. She came to the shelter as a stray, very pregnant. Minka had four adorable pups and is happy to be free of motherhood! She likes to stay busy and will do best in an active home that will give her the attention she deserves and the exercise she craves. Minka is house trained, and she does very well with other dogs and humans of all ages – cats, probably not. She loves getting brushed, is wicked smart and loves stuffed animals – she carries them around like they’re her babies.

In typical Husky Houdini fashion, Minka will find a way out of a crate and will need a fenced in yard to prevent her sorcery ways of escape. Her favorite things include Zoomies, belly rubs, cheese in a can, head tilts, and any movie or with Tom Hardy – she thinks he’s dreamy. Who doesn’t?!

Minka is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $250.To adopt Minka apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

Winston is a 45 pound, 1 year old Cattle Dog Mix who is the perfect combination of sassy and adorable !! He is a very sweet and smart pup who loves to be the center of attention and loves giving his humans his unique brand of cuddly affection. Winston is house trained, crate trained and he does well with cats and dogs; he will do best in a home without smaller children. He seems to thrive when he has a confident dog to pal around with and be his buddy. Winston is neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $250.
