Furry Friday

The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process.  And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Are you in need of a loveable companion? Here I am; my name is Barrett and I am as loveable as a dog can get! I’m even travel size for your convenience!

Some of my favorite things are hanging out with people and getting all the attention giving kisses, being a lap dog, and of course all the pets (I do love belly rubs). I also love to play with toys. The MAS staff and volunteers all get a good laugh because I like to pick up tennis balls and kongs that are meant for big dogs and carry them around!

Submit an adoption application if you’d like to bring me home for a good laugh and cuddles!

Barrett, an adoptable Maltese Mix in Lake Odessa, MI_image-4

Hello, my name is Lennox and everyone at MAS is always complimenting me on how sweet I am. I enjoy being with people and getting love and cuddles from my human friends, and going for walks. Positive reinforcement and patience would really help me build some confidence and help me blossom into the ultimate best friend. A home that is a little more quiet would be appreciated, young kids with loud energy is a bit too much for me. I did well for my cat introduction at MAS, but I prefer to be the only dog.

“He’ll make you smile, he’ll make you fall in love, all he needs is a chance.”

To give Lennox a chance, submit an adoption application at www.mackenzies.info

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue looks to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Arjay is a 15 pound, 4 year old PomChi Mix with a cute, tiny brown face, and goofy bat ears. Arjay is dog and cat friendly.  He does great coexisting with large dogs and loves small dogs like him.  He is potty trained and crate trained (but does just fine out of his crate).  This guy loves all the animals.  People … well those he’s a little slower to warm up to.  He would love a lower traffic home where he does not have to meet new people all the time.  Once he loves you, he is the sweetest, snuggliest guy you will ever meet.  Arjay needs a home without kids (although a dog experienced teenager would probably be fine). Arjay is neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $275.To adopt Arjay apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

Kai is about 5 months old and currently weighs around 35 pounds.  He looks like a lab mix to us but you never really know.  Kai is doing great with his potty training and crate training!  He’s really getting the hang of living in a house for the first time.  He loves to play with the large dog in his foster home and play with toys!  (shoes count as toys right?). He’s a playful guy who would love to take a class with his forever family so he can learn all the new things and figure out ways to use his brain!  Kai would love a fenced in yard where he could zoomie to his heart’s content!  Kai is microchipped, current on his vaccines, and will be neutered before he goes to his forever home.  His adoption fee is $300 and you can apply to adopt Kai at www.rescueofhope.com/adopt/
