Furry Friday

The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process.  And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Hi, my name is Tommy! Me and my 8 adorable littermates are eager to begin life as someone’s lovable companion!

I am a pretty typical puppy. When I grow up, I will be a medium to large size dog; so training and socializing me now will be key for my skills and manners as an adult. If you would like to meet me, submit your application today!

Hey there bestie! My name is Vera, and I am a lively lady!

Walks are one of my favorite things, I would benefit from some work with my leash manners to politely walk and contain my excitement. While I love being active, I love to cuddle and lean in for pets from staff and volunteers. In the words of Hannah Montana, I am the best of both worlds.

As you can see from the video, it has been a blast playing with other dogs at MAS. When I was introduced to a cat, and I was a little unsure at first, but then got excited so I may try to play/chase a kitty roommate. Understandably, not every cat is going to want to play with me, or want me to try to play with them though.

If you are looking for a cute roomie, let the MAS team know by submitting your application today!

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue looks to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Abby Harper is a VERY sweet, 11 week old, happy go lucky pittie mix who can’t wait to find her forever family💕 She is loving life in her foster home and adores playing with alllll of her foster siblings (2 fur and 3 human) who are all teaching her how to be polite with kiddos AND how to ‘dog’🥰 She already understands ‘sit’ and does so very politely before she gets her food or treats💕 She also already knows her marker word (‘YES!’) – she is SUCH a smart, fun girl and so eager to learn.  Just like any puppy her age, she is working on potty training and leash walking and would thrive at a puppy class where she can be the ⭐️ of the show. She deserves the very best and we are officially on the hunt for her people.  ❤️  Abby is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines.  Her adoption fee is $300 and you can apply to lover her forever at www.rescueofhope.com/adopt

Ed is a 12 week old ball of fun who currently weighs approximately 15 pounds.  Ed’s breed is a complete guess, sometimes he looks like a sherpherd, sometimes he looks like a terrier, but he always looks adorable and we think he’s going to be a big guy when he grows up.  He loves rough housing with the bigger pit mixes in his foster home and loves meeting new people.  Ed is SUPER smart and already knows his name, comes when you call him (most of the time), and sits for treats and before he eats.  He is working on his potty training and walking on a leash, but that is to be expected for a guy his age.  He sleeps through the night in his crate, all snuggled up with his stuffed bunny.  (It’s so cute, you might actually die.)  Ed is current on his vaccines and will be microchipped and neutered before he heads to his forever home.  His adoption fee is $300 and you can apply to adopt Ed at www.rescueofhope.com/adopt/
