Furry Friday

The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process.  And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

My name is Mitchell and I am 90lbs of hunk! Aside from being incredibly handsome, I am also as sweet as pie.

Before my sister Claire and I came to MAS, we lived as alert dogs (meaning, we would bark to alert our owner that someone was driving up, he was up to no good!). We had an invisible fenced yard and the shock collars were so tight around our necks, that they had to be cut off when we were rescued.

Two of my favorite things are to run and play with my sister around the pond at MAS, and cuddle up with the staff and volunteers. I also like to give some affectionate smooches with my good friends. If my new home had another dog to play with, that would be such a bonus! But I would be happy with just human companions as well, of all ages, I did well for my kid introductions. I’m as cool as a cucumber with cats too!

Don’t wait too long, I am pretty much a dream-come-true kinda guy….what are you waiting for? Head on over to www.mackenzies.info to submit an adoption application right now!

Mitchell 3

You look like you need some doggy smooches to brighten your day, and I am just the dog to give you some! My name is Fez and I would love to be your best friend! I am happiest with my people, I am trying my best to learn how to enjoy alone time, but I would prefer to go to a home with patient adopters that understand and can help boost my confidence.

Some of my favorite things are giving kisses, spray cheese (you know that squeeze cheese in a can?), cuddling on the couch, and enjoying some nice booty scratches. Sometimes I forget that I weigh about 60lbs and will try to get into your lap. It would be super cool to go home with someone that is as cuddly as I am!

An adult only home would be best for me. I have had nice cat introductions at MAS and would be comfortable to share my new home with a kitty sibling. I would like to be the only dog in my new home though. If you are interested in meeting me, submit an adoption application to the MAS website!

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue looks to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Cora is a 10 pound, 5 year old Pomeranian with a tiny adorable face and very kind loving eyes. She is doing a fantastic job with her crate training and house training, and she does well with other dogs. Cora is so much fun to be around, and she creates smiles everywhere she goes. Her foster Mama describes her as cuddly, affectionate, intelligent, and playful.  She has a great personality and listens well – and she is just so darn cute !! Cora is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $275. To adopt Cora apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

This special soul with the adorable sour puss and squeezable smushy face is Sally !! Sally is a 65 pound, 4 year old Stacy Mix who came to our Rescue all the way from Arkansas. This sweet girl is deaf and will need an experienced and patient home that will give her the attention and continued training and patience she needs to flourish. Sally will need to be the only furry friend in the home and it needs to be a fenced-in home without children. Sally is crate trained, house trained and she loves to learn new things !! She is very smart and a very hard worker. We think she would love to take training classes with her forever humans; she is so eager to please and she is so full of love. Sally is a super snuggler who doesn’t have a concept of personal space – she wants to be in her humans’ laps giving hugs and kisses. Sally is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots. To adopt Sally apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application. Her adoption fee is $250.
