Furry Friday

The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process. And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional cats, dogs, or farm animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

For additional information about each organization visit their websites or read our intro article to Furry Friday!

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Mackenzie’s is taking applications now for three adorable female puppies. They are Rat Terrier/Miniature Pinscher mixes. They are all up-to-date on shots, and will be ready to go home to their new and” Forever” homes. Please go to www.mackenzies.info to read about our adoption criteria and to fill in the adoption application and survey. We do work the applications in the order received. Once received we will give you a call to follow up with a phone interview. Thank you. Avery (pictured below) and Nova are looking to be part of a family.

Hi, my name is “Skippy”. My D.O.B is 5/21/17. I’m a very energetic and fun loving puppy. I love getting attention from my favorite people. I know a lot of commands and would love to show off everything I know. I’ve been told that I’m a smart puppy and would be an excellent candidate for learning more commands and tricks. I like playing with other dogs, but prefer them to be closer to my size. Please come see me soon!

Carol’s Ferals

Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.

Berkley (female, calico)
Looking for a beautiful calico who will offer love and companionship?  Then check me out.  I will be the first to greet you at the door when you come home and bring you your slippers (oops, cancel that last part, it’s against the cat code).  Seriously, I am affectionate and would make a lovely best friend.  I do well with other cats and cuddled with several kittens when placed in the kitten room.

Buttons (female, black and white)
I am a cute black and white polydactyl (which means I have thumbs)!  I love being petted; and promise I will chase down and protect you from the red dot.  I am waiting for the right person to come along who teach me how to use my thumbs to open cat food cans.

Panda (male, black tuxedo)
As my name implies, I am cute and cuddly like a panda bear, but much smaller.  If you want a sweet lap cat, I am your man.  And you don’t have to go to China to adopt me!

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

Meet Gallagher!  Gallagher is handsome orange tabby who is approximately 2 years old (even though he looks like a youngster). This fellow is a super friendly, social kitty. You can tell by his body language in the pictures that he’s pretty “chill” even in new situations. So….he has looks and a good personality as well!

Patty is a young girl, about 1 year old now. She’s a sweet, friendly kitty who loves to be around you. Patty would love nothing more than to have her own person’s lap, bed, window, attention, etc. You get it, right??? It’s all about Patty!
