Furry Friday

The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process.  And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Blake is a pretty typical spirited young Lab…mix. A real bundle of playfulness, with a side of goofy.

With a little time for Blake to bond with you, and he really is all yours! He does well with cats and other dogs and has made a lot of friends at Mackenzie’s; both dog and humans. He would do well with someone adventurous…exploring new places, hiking, running, anything of those sorts would be a blast in his eyes. Blake is not all go-go-go, he also enjoys to cuddle and relax with his friends after all the exciting adventures.

Blake would benefit from someone that will help him overcome his uncertainty of strangers and boost his confidence. Because he is a bit of a cautious guy, he would do best in an adult only home or a home with older teenage kids. He is a spectacular young dog with loads of potential! Start building your bond with this handsome guy by submitting an adoption application today!

You think my smile is big? You should see my heart! My name is Fez and I would love to be your best friend! I am happiest with my people, I’m working on practicing how to entertain myself for alone time, but could use someone with patience to help me boost my confidence.

Some of my favorite things are giving kisses, spray cheese (you know that squeeze cheese in a can), cuddling on the couch, and enjoying some nice booty scratches. Really anywhere my people are, that’s where I want to be too. Sometimes I forget that I weigh about 60lbs and will try to get into your lap. What can I say, I’m just an oversized lap dog at heart!

An adult home would be best for me. I want to be your only canine friend. I have had nice cat introductions at MAS and would be comfortable to share my new home with a kitty cat sibling though.

So, if you need some doggy smooches to brighten your day, I am just the dog to do so! If you are interested in meeting me, submit your adoption application today to get the ball rolling!

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue looks to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Marvin is a very sweet and lovable boy with the most adorable face and the best heart. We just adore him. Marvin can be a touch shy at first, but he opens up so nicely when he is comfortable. He is a 50 pound, 1 year old Lab Mix with incredibly floppy ears and gorgeous tuxedo markings. Side note, he looks great in a tuxedo – like James Bond but without the womanizing. Marvin is looking to find a forever home that is calm and supportive. He is house trained, crate trained and he does well with cats and dogs; he would do best in a home without very small children and with a fenced in yard.  Marvin is neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $275. To adopt Marvin apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application

Suri is a 65 pound, 6 year old German Shepherd with the kindest eyes and the most lovable face !! She is very fun loving, always up for an adventure, and always available for naps with her humans. She makes a very good pillow !! Suri is flourishing in her foster home, and she is ready to fill her home with endless hugs, cuddles, smooches and happiness. Suri is crate trained and house trained, and she will do best in a home without very small children. She does well with most dogs, but will need proper introductions. Suri is spayed, microchipped and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $250. To adopt Suri apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application
