The following animals are available for adoption.  If you find an animal you’d like to adopt please contact the organization directly.  Lowell’s First Look does not assist with the adoption process. And if you’re looking to add to your family and don’t see an animal below, each organization has additional cats, dogs, or farm animals looking for new homes.   Pet profiles and photos are provided by each organization.

Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

I am such a little cutie, or so they say. My name is Allie. I am a Rat Terrier Mix. My previous owner, lost their home, so myself and two of my siblings, went to a shelter. I was scared and can be timid, but I warm up quickly once you show me attention. I like the dogs here at MAS I have met, and did okay on my cat intro. My D.O.B. is 6/24/13. Young enough to be active, and old enough to settle down when you want me to.

Harmony and Melody arrived at MAS as a pair, and would love to find a forever home together. Harmony is a 4-year old beagle. In true beagle nature, she loves to follow her nose on walks and sniff out everything she can! Harmony can be a little shy of new people and things at first, but once she’s comfortable, she’s a sweet and playful gal that loves attention!

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Sweet and laid back are just two words you could use to describe Frank! He is approximately 7 years old and originally from Beirut, Lebanon. Frank is just an all around great dog with medium energy. He enjoys lounging around the house, laying in the sun, being pet, and going for walks. He also rides very well in the car! Frank will go in a crate if needed, but he is perfectly fine left out of a crate while he is home alone. He loves kids and does very well with female dogs, but he takes a little longer to warm up to male dogs. He thinks cats are fun to chase so a home without cats would be best.
