Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

Tazzy is adorable. His D.O.B. is 5/13/12. Tazzy loves treats, cuddles, and attention! He’s truly a lap dog at heart. So far, Tazzy has done well meeting kids and cats during his time at MAS, and seems to be playful with other dogs. Tazzy has some special medical needs that have been taken care of during his time at MAS, and while they don’t slow him down, he’ll need his new family to make sure he stays healthy.

My name is Perry! I’m an older guy with a DOB of 9/9/12, so I’m mostly looking for a nice home with lots of love and cuddles to share. I’m settling in nicely at MAS so far, but now that it’s starting to get a little colder outside, I’d love to find myself a warm and cozy home to curl up in! I can be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly…and from then on I love attention and will be your best pal. I’ve done well meeting other dogs, and did well on my cat introduction too. Come see me soon!

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

It’s fall and that means that the outdoor mice are going to start trying to become indoor mice! If you’re looking for some natural rodent control, you really must meet Frannie.  She’s the most beautiful, fun and affectionate companion but is also is a born hunter.  She’s active, intelligent, and oh so ready for a family and a big old house to prowl! Is that you?

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Izzy is the sweetest kitty, so gentle, yet playful and cuddly all at the same time. Izzy was dropped of at the Rockford Equest Center a few weeks ago, but it became apparent to one of the volunteers that Izzy wasn’t interested in being a barn cat. The volunteer knew she couldn’t keep her, but she brought Izzy home and contacted Hearts of Hope so they could help find a forever home. She is a little over a year old and is the sweetest kitty. She loves to explore and is so very gentle. When she gets used to her surroundings she is very cuddly, too! Izzy is spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $25. To adopt Izzy apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application/

Hey there! My name is Scrappy, and I’m kinda the best dog ever (according to my foster family). I’m 8 years old and am housebroken. I am wonderful with kids, dogs and cats. I pretty much like to do whatever my people do. If they prefer to couch, play, or go for walks- I’m content doing that as long as I am with them. I. Love. To. Cuddle. I mean under the blankets and cuddled up kind of cuddling. I prefer to go #2 while out for a walk, so you will want to take me for a short walk everyday to make sure I go. When I say short walk, I mean real short because I go almost as soon as I leave my yard. I you’re looking for a cuddly dog weighing under 20 pounds, I’m your guy. I’m up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. My adoption fee is $200. To adopt me apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application/
