Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary

Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.

My name is Suzie, and everyone calls me a little sweetie pie. My D.O.B. is 11/30/17. I was found originally as a stray. I am so sweet and cuddly. I love to play, and have met a couple other dogs at MAS and did fine. I really would love to work on my commands and markers and go on lots of fun walks with my new family.

Arthur is a super sweet corgi mix – before finding his way to MAS, Arthur had been a stray. While Arthur is settling in well here at Mackenzie’s, he’s ready to find his forever home! Arthur is a snuggly lap dog at heart, and really just likes to be close to his people and whatever they’re up to. He’s done well on his dog and cat introductions so far. Come see him soon!

Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

The hardest part about summer is that there are so many kittens being born and beautiful adult cats like this get overlooked! This is Emerald and she was one of our mama cats. It’s clear when you look at her eyes how she earned her name! She’s an absolute beauty and is such an affectionate girl. She will be the first one to greet you when you come home at night. Are you ready to give a lovely cat like this a chance at your house?

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

This handsome gentleman is Aiden. Aiden is a 3 year old GSD Mix who came to our rescue from our good friends at Animals Lebanon. We are so excited to have this goofy sweetheart with us, he is a great symbol of why we do what we do. Aiden had a heartbreaking start to his life, narrowly surviving a gunshot wound to his head, but now he is flourishing in his new environment and learning what it’s like to be a dog. Aiden will need a more relaxed home that will surround him with love, support, and patience. Aiden will also benefit from obedience classes; he’s smart, he loves to learn, and this will be a very important bonding period for him and his new humans. Aiden is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his shots, and ready to make himself at home! His adoption fee is $200. To adopt Aiden apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application/

She moves very well, and doesn’t let her bother her; she’s such a trooper ! Ziva is doing a fantastic job working on house training and crate training, and she is great with cats, kids and dogs !! Ziva would do well as the only pet in the home, but she would also do well in a home with many furry friends. Ziva loves car rides, snuggling, and she achieves new levels of awesomeness every day !! She is chipped and up to date on her vetting; come meet this little sweetheart. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her shots. Her adoption fee is $300. Carol’s Ferals

Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.

Hi! My name is Peebles. I came to Carol’s Ferals in September. As you can see, I’m a talkative girl and love to tell you what is going on. I get along with other cats and I’d wouldn’t mind being an only cat. So if you want a talkative roommate I’m your girl.

Hi, I’m called Shyla because I was shy when I came in last month but I’m doing better now. So if you have the patience to help me get use to my new family and home, some see me.

My name is Blue Fairy. I had a litter of kittens in the Pinocchio group. They will be ready for adoption in a few weeks. I’m ready now to find my new forever family. I am a little girl but I am full of confidence and really friendly. Come see my at Carol’s Ferals.
