Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary
Those involved with Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary take pride in finding the right home for dogs in their care. Here are their pets of the week.
Darling Donna is a sweet and shy companion. She was born 7/2/15. She enjoys spending time with her favorite person where it is quiet and calm. She doesn’t need a lot of animal friends, just a person or two that she can hang out with and enjoy life. She likes to walk with you and run with the golf cart at MAS. She has good manners on leash. She is a cuddle bug when she gets to know you. She would be best without other dogs or cats in the home. She is a love and really ready for her forever family and can’t wait to meet them!
Bridget was a stray before she came to MAS. Her D.O.B. is 5/29/15. She is a super sweet girl. She is working on her commands and markers. She has played with one dog at MAS but may not like all dogs. She did great on her cat introduction. She was very jumpy and mouthy when she first came in, but is working on this behavior with our team. She is working on lead training as well. Right now she pulls a bit, but is doing better working on it. She likes to play and run and go after tennis balls. She would be great to run, hike, walk, and have as a constant companion.
Vicky’s Pet Connection
Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens. They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.
Life is better when you have a best friend and sidekick! Meet Wyatt (grey) and his brother, Willy (black). They’ve been together their whole lives and just wouldn’t know what to do without each other! They have so much fun running, exploring and cuddling together that we really want to find a home where we can continue to do that! They are both a little shy at first but as soon as they see that you are one of the “good guys”, they come out of our shell and start asking for belly rubs and ear scratches! They are active, playful cats who like to explore their environment and enjoy interacting with their humans. Do you have room in your life for a nice pair of brothers that are just around 6 months of age? Come meet them!
Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue
Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes. Here are their pets of the week.
This incredibly sweet boy with the amazingly scrunch brow is Maui !! Maui is a growing, 6 month old Staffy Puppy who currently weighs 35 pounds. Maui is great with dogs; he loves his doggie foster brothers. He would do best in a home without smaller children due to his puppy-ness. He is learning about cats, showing lots of interest, but working on his manners with the furry felines. Maui would benefit from puppy classes. He is very smart and learns things very easily. He is crate trained and doing a fantastic job on his house training, but he will need a patient and loving hand to continue his great work. Despite his sad past, being abandoned in a garage, covered in filth and dealing with mange, Sweet Maui has the best heart. He is so wonderful. He is full of love, kindness and warmth. He is going to make the best life long companion, and he is going to fill a home with endless love. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on her shots. His adoption fee is $300.
