Vicky’s Pet Connection

Vicky’s Pet Connection works with the Kent County Animal Shelter to rescue cats and kittens.  They also take in dogs older in age and those needing special care. Here are their pets of the week.

This is Courtney and she is a gorgeous, black panther! At just 3 years of age, Courtney is just barely into her adulthood and should have many years of companionship to share with some lucky family.  She is a petite and quiet girl who would love to meet you..  She’s hanging out at The Critter Cottage in Ada so stop by and see if she may be the friend you’ve been hoping for!

Carol’s Ferals

Carol’s Ferals specializes in trap, neuter, return (TNR), but they come across “friendlies” who are available for adoption. Here are their pets of the week.

Hi, I’m Jaqen. I was rescued one cold January day from a barn with lots and lots of other cats. I was very scared and a bit shy at first but I am now a very sweet boy who loves pets. I would love to find my forever home.

Hi, My Name is Griffen. I’ve been in Foster for a while, but I am now ready for my forever home.  I tend to be a little shy but when I get to know you, I am ready for my forever home.  I am 9 years old.  I am polydactyl which means I have toes.

My name is Francine and I’m about 7 years old.  I am now ready for my own furever home.  I love pets and other attention.  I would probably like a quieter home.  Come visit me Sundays 2-5 pm or 6-8 PM on Thursday.

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue

Hearts of Hope Dog Rescue look to find dogs and sometimes cats in their care forever homes with the help of foster homes.  Here are their pets of the week.

Sid is a brilliant 6 month old pup who loves to learn and lives to please. He loves going for walks and would probably excel at obedience or agility. Sid is always by your side and looking to you for what he should do next. He’s very treat motivated and will do just about anything for a snack. Once he’s tired he’s the best snuggle buddy! Sid is up for whatever you want to do whenever you want to do it. He would make a great companion for someone who enjoys being active, but he’s also content to spend an evening watching TV or going for a car ride! Sid would probably prefer to be an only dog so he can have all his humans’ attention – he wants to be interacted with and participate in as much as possible, but he’s also crate trained for when you’re not home! Sid does well with laid back dogs and he absolutely loves puppies. He could do well in a home with a dog who doesn’t mind his antics! He’s also house trained and does well with cats and kids.

You might have noticed he’s missing some hair – he has congenital hypotrichosis which means he never had hair on parts of his body and likely never will. This is a condition that should not get any worse (or better.) We think it makes Sid look unique! He also has microdontia which just means his teeth are smaller than normal, but again, it just adds to his uniqueness. Sid is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $250. To adopt Sid apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application/

This tiny, adorable, snuggle puppy is Butterscotch. Butterscotch is a 9 week old Staffy Mix puppy who came to our rescue with his puppy siblings from our good friends at Detroit Pit Crew. This incredibly cute love is doing a fantastic job with his crate training and house training. He would benefit from puppy classes; he is so smart and loves to learn new things !! We are so excited to have this munchkin in our rescue. Butterscotch is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $300.
