Step aside Paul Rudd, because here comes the real Ant Man!
There is one word that best describes Ant Man, and that word is “goofball”. Full of energy and always down to play, Ant Man is the sort of positivity we all need right now! In between bouts of high-octane play Ant Man loves to curl up next to his favorite people and cuddle. Ever since coming to Mackenzie’s he has been working on refining his manners and has improved a lot! He knows quite a few commands such as “sit”, “stay”, “come”, “down”, and “shake” and has adjusted to wearing a gentle leader while walking to remind him to not pull so hard on his leash. In the right home he could become quite the well-mannered gentleman!
Ant Man has a lot of love to give – but not to cats. A cat-free home is needed. He loves to play with toys, go for car rides, and play at the beach. He also prefers quiet walks because sometimes when he sees other dogs, he gets a bit overly excited. He loves having play dates with his canine compadres, but he can be a little too much for some dogs. He has some allergies but ever since starting his special diet they have been kept under control and he has felt great!

Meet Max, a 7 month old medium sized fella weighing in at 30lbs, who may be the happiest guy you’ve ever met- he is excited for just about everything! Playing fetch in the yard? For sure! Taking a walk and meeting new people? Definitely! Snuggling up after a day of fun and play? You betcha. Max is just a happy guy who is ready to participate whole-heartedly in whatever his family is up to. With a little learning, he could potentially be a great running buddy! He’s an active boy who would love an active family, whatever the activity, and is an eager learner especially when treats are involved! Max does best with older children as he is still working on not jumping up in excitement and would do fine as an only dog but could do ok with other dogs who have lots of patience while he learns to read social cues. He can also live successfully with dog-savvy cats! Max is up to date on vaccines and preventatives, neutered, microchipped and his adoption fee is $250. Adopt Max here.
Second Chance Cats of West Michigan
Second Chance Cats is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to help cats at municipal shelters who are at risk for euthanasia or were deemed unadoptable because of behavioral or medical issues. The group also works with other private rescues that are overcrowded and helps rehome cats that have been assessed as friendly when going through the trap-neuter-return process. This sweet boy was surrendered to an animal shelter because he tested positive for FIV. Unfortunately, there is still a lot of misinformation about cats who have FIV. Cats who have FIV can live just as long and healthy lives as their non-FIV friends. They can also live with other cats who do not have FIV, as they do here at Second Chance Cats.
