GOOD IN A HOME WITH
Children
Hey there, I’m Astrid, your future best friend and professional treat connoisseur! I’ve mastered a few cool commands, but trust me, I’m always down to learn more (as long as snacks are part of the deal). My motto? “Will work for treats!”
Now, I’m more into the solo life when it comes to other dogs. Think of me as a fan of “social distancing” with my fellow canines. I’d much rather take scenic walks, enjoy the fresh air, and admire the world from a polite distance. Who needs a dog park when you’ve got nature’s beauty to soak in, right?
I get along great with older kiddos (8 and up!)—we haven’t tested the tiny humans yet, but I’m open to the idea. I’ve got a quirky side too: I can be a little touch-sensitive at times and have a bit of an aloof vibe, but once I’ve sniffed out the treats, we’re best buds for life.
So, if you’re looking for a chill, treat-loving gal who enjoys her space but will happily join you on all your life’s adventures, I’m your girl! Let’s plan a meet-up soon—I’ll be the one wagging my tail and asking, “Did you bring snacks?”

GOOD IN A HOME WITH
Other cats, children
Meet Pumpkin, a special boy with a heart full of love waiting to be discovered. When Pumpkin first arrived at our center, he was extremely leery of people, preferring to keep his distance and observe from a safe spot. But after spending time in a loving foster home, Pumpkin began to show his true colors. With the patience and gentle care of his foster mom, he made tremendous strides, gradually learning to trust and even enjoy human companionship.
Now back at the center, Pumpkin continues to make progress each day. He still finds comfort in his cubby, where he feels safe and secure, but he’s starting to venture out more, especially when the room is quiet. This is a sign that Pumpkin is gaining confidence and becoming more comfortable in his surroundings. He’s a cat who prefers to approach you on his own terms, and when he does, it’s his way of saying he’s ready for some gentle pets. These moments are precious, as they reflect the bond you’re building with him.
Pumpkin is not the kind of cat who will rush into your arms, but once you gain his trust, you’ll be rewarded with the gentlest, sweetest boy. His affection is subtle but deeply meaningful, and he will show his appreciation in quiet, tender ways. Pumpkin needs a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let Pumpkin adjust at his own pace. This process might require some time and understanding, but the reward of seeing Pumpkin blossom into a loving companion is truly priceless.
Pumpkin also gets along well with other cats, making him a great candidate for a multi-cat household. He would thrive in a quiet, calm environment where he can feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for a cat who will reward your patience with a lifetime of gentle love, Pumpkin might just be the perfect fit for you. Give him the time he needs, and you’ll discover a loyal, sweet companion who will steal your heart.
Pumpkin has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He has an approximate birthdate of December, 2020. His adoption fee is $95.
