PREFERS A HOME WITHOUT

Hey there, I’m Cletus! One of the most handsome hounds at Mackenzie’s!

In addition to my good looks, you may have heard about my absolutely legendary cuddles – I’m one of the best snuggle bugs MAS has to offer. Sometimes I can be shy with new people, but anyone will tell you, my love is worth the wait!….and it doesn’t take long at all, I promise!

I am not as young as I used to be, and as they say, with age comes wisdom….and arthritis…so a quiet and laid-back home would be best for me. I’d prefer to be the only pet in the home since I can be pretty picky about my four-legged friends. Once I’m comfortable with my new environment and after I’ve built up trust & confidence with my new family and home, I would be up for more mellow kinds of adventures. I’m a perfect gentleman on car rides, so taking me out an about would be a fun time for me! I’m happy to lounge around on the couch, but I’d also be interested in checking out hiking trails and tapping into my hound senses. But for now, mellow walks, snuggles, and movie nights are some of the things I like best.

To experience the ultimate cuddles for yourself, fill out an application and be sure to mention me!

Ricky is perfect. He’s adorable, sweet, goofy, and he resembles Yoda (because of his timeless wisdom, not his ginormous ears). Perfect. Ricky is an 11 pound, 9 year old Chihuahua Mix with a very laid back presence and a kind demeanor. Ricky has lots of cute and funny facial expressions, and he looks especially dapper in bow ties ! Ricky is house trained and crate trained, and he does well with other dogs. He walks very well on a leash, and he knows basic commands. Rickey is neutered and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $175. To adopt Ricky apply online – This dog is located in Midland, Mi

Second Chance Cats is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to help cats at municipal shelters who are at risk for euthanasia or were deemed unadoptable because of behavioral or medical issues. Meet Talia, a sweet and independent 10-year-old female cat with a heart full of love. Talia is hyperthyroid but takes her medication like a champ mixed in her wet food, so managing her condition is a breeze.

Talia is a laid-back and quiet girl who adores her human friends and enjoys being pet. She thrives in a peaceful environment where she can be the center of attention. Talia co-exists with other cats, although she would prefer to be the only cat.

If you’re looking for a loving and easygoing cat to share your home with, Talia is the perfect match. She’s ready to bring joy and companionship to her forever family. Will you be the one to give Talia the loving home she deserves?

Talia is on medication for her thyroid, but easily takes it with wet food! She is also FIV+ . However, cats with FIV can live as long and healthy life as cats who do not have FIV.

Talia has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is approximately 10 years old. Her adoption fee is $95.

Apply to adopt Talia here.

If you are interested in any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.
