GOOD IN A HOME WITH

Hey there, I’m Clovis! If you’re looking for a laid-back buddy to keep you company, I’m your guy. With my super relaxed personality, I love being around people. Whether it’s napping on a cozy bed across the room or snuggling up on your lap, I’m all about those chill vibes and A1 cuddles!
But don’t let my easygoing nature fool you—I still have plenty of energy for some fun! I love playing fetch with my Kong balls or a durable squeaky toy.
Before I came to MAS, I was in pretty rough shape. Thank goodness MAS took me in and nursed me back to health. It was touch-and-go for a minute, but with their help, we fought for my life and overcame the odds. I may have lost most of my teeth, but I don’t let my past bring me down! I still enjoy trying to defluff the occasional (and unfortunate) plushy toy every now and then.
Now, I should warn you, I’ve have some stomach issues, which means sometimes I can be a bit of a gassy guy. Yep, I’m known to toot my own horn! So, if you hear a funny noise, don’t be alarmed—it’s just me adding some “natural” ambiance to the room! And hey, if you ever let one slip out while company is over, I don’t mind taking the blame. That’s what friends are for, right?
I’d rather be your only furry friend, but I’m a total sweetheart with kids. I soak up all the love they give and happily give it right back!
So, if you’re looking for a gentle soul to hang out with you and the fam, I’m the perfect companion. Whether you want to adopt or foster, I’d love to be there for you! Just visit the MAS website and submit your application. I can’t wait to share some love, good vibes, and a few giggles over my toots!

Are you ready for your new best friend? Then meet Dolly, a 4 year old and 40 lb, sweet-as-can-be Basset Hound.
Dolly is a great companion dog who wants to be with you as much as possible. Because of this, she would do best in a home with someone home most of the time. She loves snuggles and cuddles and alllll the affection, as that her favorite activity, but she also does have little bursts of energy when she likes to play!
Dolly would do great as an only dog, as she would love all of your attention, but she does well with other dogs and enjoys playing and snuggling with them as well. She came from what is likely a breeding situation and has had multiple litters. Now, this lil’ mama is ready to be the baby! She is potty trained, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives, is spayed and microchipped, and her adoption fee is $250.
Second Chance Cats of West Michigan
Second Chance Cats is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to help cats at municipal shelters who are at risk for euthanasia or were deemed unadoptable because of behavioral or medical issues. The group also works with other private rescues that are overcrowded and helps rehome cats that have been assessed as friendly when going through the trap-neuter-return process. Here is their pet of the week.

GOOD IN A HOME WITH
Other cats, children
Frida is an independent, sweet girl! She is reserved and quick movements make her anxious. She finds comfort in small spaces. When she is relaxed she likes pets and will purr. She would often approach her foster mom for pets. She is a sweet petite …….she has a great appetite and loves wet food. She likes treats, too. Frida likes spring toys and the electronic wand cat toy. She is curious even while a bit timid and liked to explore her foster home. She would sometimes wrestle with another kitten that was in her foster home. She will lay by her foster mom so could become a cuddler.
For the safety of our kittens and for children, we do not adopt kittens under six months old to a home with children under the age of 6.
Frida has been spayed vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $120. Frida has an approximate birthdate of April, 2024.
If you are interested in any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.
