Hey there, I’m Clovis! If you’re looking for a laid-back buddy to keep you company, I’m your guy. With my super relaxed personality, I love being around people. Whether it’s napping on a cozy bed across the room or snuggling up on your lap, I’m all about those chill vibes and A1 cuddles!
But don’t let my easygoing nature fool you—I still have plenty of energy for some fun! I love playing fetch with my Kong balls or a durable squeaky toy.
Before I came to MAS, I was in pretty rough shape. Thank goodness MAS took me in and nursed me back to health. It was touch-and-go for a minute, but with their help, we fought for my life and overcame the odds. I may have lost most of my teeth, but I don’t let my past bring me down! I still enjoy trying to defluff the occasional (and unfortunate) plushy toy every now and then.
Now, I should warn you, I’ve have some stomach issues, which means sometimes I can be a bit of a gassy guy. Yep, I’m known to toot my own horn! So, if you hear a funny noise, don’t be alarmed—it’s just me adding some “natural” ambiance to the room! And hey, if you ever let one slip out while company is over, I don’t mind taking the blame. That’s what friends are for, right?
I’d rather be your only furry friend, but I’m a total sweetheart with kids. I soak up all the love they give and happily give it right back!

Hi, I’m Tag (AKA Honey Bear or Baby Bear)! I am SO ready to be your new best friend! I’m 11 pounds of pure Doxie love (maybe a little mix in there; we aren’t too sure right now!). I want nothing more than to be with my person whenever possible, so I’d love to be in a home where someone is around most of the time. If it were up to me, I’d be burrowed under a blanket next to you or in your lap all day long. At 6 years old, I’m well past my crazy puppy years, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have plenty of energy to play with toys and go for walks. I’m house-trained and mostly crate-trained.
I sleep well in my crate throughout the night, though I’d MUCH prefer to be in bed with you! The crate isn’t my favorite place during the day, but I can handle it when you’re running errands and the like. I get along great with other dogs, but I’d also do well as an only dog since my goal is to be the apple of your eye. Speaking of eyes, mine are probably the coolest you’ve ever seen, not to brag. In typical dachshund fashion, I’m pretty vocal. Because of this, I would do best in a home without shared walls (no apartments or duplexes).
I’m neutered, microchipped and up to date on all my vaccines/preventatives – I’ll even have my teeth freshly cleaned and my adoption fee is $275. I deserve all the love I have to give, and that’s a lot! I can’t wait to meet you!
Second Chance Cats of West Michigan
Second Chance Cats is a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to help cats at municipal shelters who are at risk for euthanasia or were deemed unadoptable because of behavioral or medical issues. The group also works with other private rescues that are overcrowded and helps rehome cats that have been assessed as friendly when going through the trap-neuter-return process. Meet Magneto……….Magneto was either lost or abandoned in an area where this happens to lots of cats. Magneto was trapped and made his way to Second Chance. Magneto is a guy with a charming, magnetic personality and fabulous cheeks! Our little superhero with his beautiful green eyes and quiet little motor is waiting to display his powers to you!.
Magneto loves head and neck scratches and being held. He will lean in for more pets and nudge your hand to keep going. Magneto also purrs when pet, revving up his little engine. He really enjoys wand toys, especially the long felt type ones. Magneto would do well with a single adopter, a couple, or family that will engage in pets and play. While Magneto tolerates his roomies he would prefer to be your only cat hero. Come meet this handsome, marvelous fella!
Magneto has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Magneto has an approximate birthdate of 03/30/2022. His adoption fee is $95.
