Hi there, I’m Shayla, and if you’re looking for a certified snuggle bug, you’ve just met your match!

I might be medium in size, but my love is extra large. I’m a total sweetheart—kisses, cuddles, booty scratches, and pretending I’m a lap dog are all part of my daily routine. I’ve got a heart full of love and I’m just waiting to share it with someone special!

Before I came to MAS, life was really tough. I was rescued after being left outside in sub-zero temperatures. It was so cold, in fact, I was trying to dig a hole in the frozen ground just trying to escape the wind and find a tiny bit of warmth. Since then, I’ve been dreaming of a cozy home with someone who loves me as much as I love them!

Now, I’ll be honest—I’m a little cautious when meeting new people. Strangers make me nervous, and I might be a bit apprehensive at first, but once I know you’re my kind of human? It’s game over. I’ll be your velcro shadow, your couch buddy, your late-night snuggle therapist. I just need someone patient and kind to help me feel safe and loved.

At MAS, I haven’t really clicked with the other dogs, so I’d prefer to be your one and only fur baby. Trust me, I’ve got more than enough love to go around! The kennel life is a bit stressful for me—it’s noisy, and I miss the simple joys of fetch in the yard and quiet cuddles on the couch.

So, what do you say? Got room in your heart and home for a sweet girl who just wants to be loved as much as she loves you?

Let’s make this a forever kind of love. Submit your adoption application at the MAS website below!

Meet Sur, your new best buddy! Sur is a fun-loving, affectionate min pin. At about 6 months old, he loves fetch more than anything, playing with toys, and catching the zoomies outside (this boy is FAST!). In typical puppy fashion, he has his bursts of energy, then likes to snuggle up and nap. He loves to be held, in a blanket, or on your lap. So far, he hasn’t met a human or dog he doesn’t like. Sur is crate trained and well on his way to being fully potty trained. He doesn’t have accidents as long as he is let out every 2-3 hours and sleeps through the night in his crate.

He may only be 8 pounds, but don’t let that fool you! This little guy is full of personality and will be a fantastic companion. He is still learning what is and isn’t bark-worthy, so he would do best in a home with no shared walls (no apartments or duplexes). His speed and agility require a secure, fully fenced-in yard. He’d also love another dog to play with and learn from, and humans who are home most of the day. His adoption fee is $300.

Meet Oliver, a big, handsome tuxedo boy. When Oliver originally came to Second Chance he had showed up at a stranger’s home and the owners began feeding him. He seemed feral at first, but the 15 year boy who lived at the home began gaining Oliver’s trust. He would come out with the food bowl and eventually Oliver would stay and eat while the bowl was being held. He became a total ham and they quickly realized he was NOT feral. He was soon brought into their home while they looked for placement for him. After a short while with Second Chance Oliver was adopted. Sadly, after a couple of years his owner passed away unexpectedly and Oliver has been returned to us.

Oliver is extremely friendly and LOVES to be close to people. He is a love bug. He especially likes giving kisses so beware ladies, he is a charmer! Oliver enjoys sitting on a lap and also likes to sleep next to people. Oliver has a playful side, too. Food is a good way to Oliver’s heart as he is very food motivated. We believe Oliver would appreciate being king of his own castle. Given how much loss he has endured having an adopter all to himself would be a gift for this charming, sweet guy who deserves to be spoiled and made to feel special. He really is looking for his second chance!

Oliver is currently is foster care, so if you would like to meet this great guy, once your application is approved we will arrange a visit with the Foster. Oliver would do best with a single adopter, a couple, maybe a family with older, respectful kids.

Oliver has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He has an approximate birthdate of June 2020. His adoption fee is $95.
