Are you ready to rock and roll with the coolest canine in town? With 85lbs of good-boy energy, Stone is ready to rock your world and steal your heart with his stoic charm and playful antics!

Stone may be wary of strangers at first, which comes with his role as your live-in neighborhood watch volunteer (he takes his duty very seriously), but once he gets to know you, he’s the most rock-solid friend you could ask for. He is always on the lookout for his loved ones.

One of Stone’s favorite pastimes is adventuring the geological wonders of the great outdoors! Just don’t forget his gentle leader, it helps keep his curious nature in check while exploring the terrain like a Boy Scout. But, it’s okay with him if you want to skip the hike. Stone is happy to compromise, as he is a bit of a fetch fanatic. There are few things he loves more than chasing after a ball with boulder-busting enthusiasm, but beware – he’s got a knack for turning those balls into slobbery masterpieces! You might want a few spares on hand just in case, unless you’re content to rock the soggy look. But hey, it’s all part of the fun!

Stone isn’t all about zoomies and high-energy antics—he’s also a certified cuddle connoisseur! At the end of a fun-filled day, his favorite way to unwind is curling up with his humans for some prime belly rubs and smoochy showers. Snuggle time? Now that’s the cornerstone of his perfect evening!

When it comes to other furry friends, though, Stone has his boundaries set in, well… stone. Due to some past rough patches, he’s not the best fit for a home with other dogs. And cats? Let’s just say they rank somewhere between “totally unnecessary” and “definitely unwelcome”—kind of like a pebble stuck in a shoe. Stone is ready to rock a solo gig in a loving, pet-free home where he can shine as your one and only!

Your epic adventure together is just a Stone’s throw away! Submit your adoption application at the MAS website link below. Be sure to mention Stone’s name to meet this diamond in the ruff!

Meet mighty Augusta, a lovely tuxedo who was trapped by a Second Chance volunteer as a neighborhood stray as well as her brother Titan. When it was determined there was no owner, she was brought to Second Chance to be made ready for adoption.

Augusta initially was a little nervous but with a calm setting and dedicated volunteers, she has gained confidence and trust for those caring for her. She is a little timid but very much enjoys pets and human attention. She gets along well with other cats so would be an easy addition to a multi-cat home. Augusta is slowly showing her personality over time and we are happy to see her progress. She is gentle and quiet and will be a dedicated companion someday. Her name means “majestic” which we think is a perfect fit. She is regal and beautiful, calm and gentle. If you are an adopter who is patient and will encourage Augusta’s confidence, to show her love feels good, she may be just the perfect cat for you!

Augusta has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Augusta’s date of birth is approximately 02/14/23. Augusta’s adoption fee is $95.
