GRIDCARD Week 38 Recap
Game 76: Bridgewater Under
The Miami Dolphins expected a tough game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night but probably didn’t expect their starting quarterback to spend the second half in the hospital. Tua Tagovailoa was carted off late in the second quarter after being thrown down and sacked by Josh Tupou. Teddy Bridgewater replaced Tua and led the Fish to a TD to cut the Bengal lead to 14-12 at the half. In the third quarter, the Dolphins took the lead 15-12 on one of Jason Sanders’ 3 FGs, but in the fourth, a costly Bridgewater INT inside the Bengal ten led to a Joe Burrow’s TD pass to Hayden Hurst and the 27-15 final–one TD shy of the O/U 48.
On the GridCard, KLC (39) just missed the TallBoy but scored his first Hamlin-Hopper of the year after 18 Top Ten finishes. The other WPN went to maryalene (36) who stayed red hot, beating the ProGrid Tour again and earning the King Kong (74) for winning the week. Tua went down and Utah State covered against BYU, helping Ricco1947 take down the PGT over AK (32). Just five other players posted Qualifying Scores: Jodyann (35), Winky (34), KMac (33), Barry (32), and KDet047 (32).
Three sweeps and a split on this week’s Team GridCard action. Team Collins got high scores from KLC (39) and Jodyann (35) to earn the split against Team Detwiler 74-62. Winky (34) and Barry (32) led VBar over the OG 66-52. LFL edged TMac 58-56 behind maryalene (36) and ElmerGlueGun (22). And the PGT continued to roll, Ricco1947 (35) and AK (32) leading the way over Fictionasy 67-51.

Game 73: Arkansas Seesaw
Arkansas jumped out to a 14-0 lead on Texas A&M after the first quarter, but the Aggies responded, scoring 23 unanswered points in the next two periods. In the final stanza, the Razorbacks got a 6-yard TD run from KJ Jefferson to cut the lead to 2 with ten minutes left. But when Cam Little missed from 42 yards out with under two minutes left, the seesaw game settled right on the points spread–Texas A&M (+2) escaping Arkansas 23-21.
The GridCard played tough, allowing only four Qualifying Scores–but someone forgot to tell Lowell’s First Look. LFL Teammate maryalene (38) edged out tinksdust (34) and picked up her first King of the Mountain, both players–and Nutmeg (30)–earning WPNs for beating ProGrid Tour winner MMc (29).
Lots of low scores in Team GridCard as well. With the Top2 Gm75 scores, maryalene (38) and tinksdust (34) led LFL to an easy win over TMac 72-54. Team Detwiler nipped Team Collins 48-47, behind Mr. Jake 50 (25) and KDet047 (23). VBar beat the shorthanded OG 45-35, LD (25) and Butch (20) leading the way. And the PGT had their worst game of the young season but got scores from MMc (29) and AK (26) to slip past Fictionasy 55-50 and stay unbeaten.
