Game 86: Proud Roosters
Coastal Carolina led Appalachian State the whole way Thursday night and pushed the lead to 35-14 in the fourth quarter, but the Mountaineers’ Chase Brice connected with Tyler Page from 42 yards out then ran for another TD to cut the Chanticleers’ lead to 35-28. Looking to close out App State but facing a third and long, CC QB, Grayson McCall completed a 47-yard pass to Jared Brown to ice the game.
On the GridCard, Guy Green (41) put up a TallBoy for his first ever King of the Mountain, beating out Butch (38) and five other Qualifying Scorers, including Ricco1947 (36) who notched another win on ProGrid Tour. KDet047 (36/71) won the King Kong. Go Bucs (36), Heart of a Hooligan (34), and btalkington20 (32) posted the only other QSs.
One of the smallest teams put up the highest total in Team GridCard action. Guy Green (41) and Go Bucs (36) led Fictionasy to the 77-54 win over LFL. Butch (38) and Winky were Top2 for VBar in their win over Team Collins 68-54. Team Detwiler edged TMac 70-67 behind KDet047 (36) and Heart of a Hooligan (34). And the PGT, led by Ricco1947 (36) and Annabelle (29), beat the OG 65-47.

Game 85: Covering Up
After trailing Tennessee 28-3 at the half, Florida scored 17 unanswered points en route to a SU loss to Georgia 42-20 but an ATS win. After leading OSU 21-16 in the fourth, Penn State gave up a late pick-6 and trailed 44-24 before earning the ATS win with a late TD, the Nittany Lions losing SU to the Buckeyes 44-31. But TCU’s cover against West Virginia was the least likely of all of Saturday’s covers, Max Duggan of the Horned Frogs throwing a 29-yard TD pass on fourth down with 20 seconds left to polish off the Mountaineers 41-31.
On the GridCard, LD (40) stocked a TallBoy for his sixth King of the Mountain this year, just edging out Teunesto (39) and Gridder on a Heater The Dust (38). Another dozen players posted Qualifying Scores: KMac (37), JeepCreeper (36) KDet047 (35), MrNickJC (34), amcmayonnaise (34), Butch (32), Ricco1947 (32)–who won another PGT–KaitMac (30), Jeep Lover 2 (30), Bubba (30), Kara (29) and Offroad (29).
In Team GridCard action, the PGT, led by Teunesto (39) and Ricco1947 (32), beat the OG 71- 46. Bubba (30) and Go Bucs (27) earned the win for Fictionasy over LFL 57-38. Team Collins beat VBar 74-72 in a high-scoring match, The Dust (38) and JeepCreeper (36) leading the way. KDet047 (35) and amcmayonnaise (34) of Team Detwiler edged TMac 69-67.
