Lowell Area Farmers’ Market Opens Tomorrow

We received the following press release from the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce.

Lowell, Michigan – A staple of the Greater Lowell area for more than 20 years, the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes the return of the Lowell Area Farmers’ Market for the 2025 summer season. The outdoor farmers’ market will be held on Thursdays, June 5–September 25, from 2 PM to 7 PM, in the green space north of the KDL Englehardt Library (200 N Monroe St, Lowell, Michigan). There is no market on July 10 during the Riverwalk Festival.

“Moving the farmers’ market to historic downtown Lowell worked great last year,” says Shannon Kennedy, Executive Director of the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce. “We’re happy to be back in the same location on Thursdays and as a lead-up event to most of the Sizzlin’ Summer Concerts.”

Positioned along the riverwalk and in the lawn north of the library, the farmers’ market is a walkable location for many residents and is close to shopping and dining for all visitors. Scheduled from 2 PM to 7 PM, the market provides convenient evening shopping hours and concertgoers can easily stop before the concerts begin.

The Lowell Area Farmers’ Market will feature a variety of baked goods, certified organic beef, natural dog treats, gourmet popcorn, freeze-dried candies and fruits, herbal remedies, and an assortment of handmade goods and crafts by local makers. Fresh fruit and vegetables will be available from Kalmink Orchards and additional vendors as crops are harvested. The market welcomes seasonal and daily vendors so be sure to shop often as new vendors are added.

Mikayla White of White Family Farms LLC & White Family Farms Home Bakery will serve as this year’s Market Master. She brings with her years of personal market experience, creative energy, and a passion for promoting local businesses. When asked what she’s looking forward to most, White stated, “I’m excited to bring the community together, showcase incredible local vendors, and create opportunities for new connections each week.”

Parking is free and public restrooms are available during the market. For more information regarding the Lowell Area Farmers’ Market and vendor applications, visit discoverlowell.org/farmers-market.
