Lowell Light & Power Releases New Website and App

Have you ever wanted to know how much electricity you use in a given month?  Well now there’s an app for that.  If you search the App Store or Google Play for Lowell Light & Power (LL&P) you’ll find a new app which will allow you to view information about your account.  You can also view the same information on your PC.

Redesigned Website
The Lowell Light & Power website has received a fresh coat of paint so to speak.  While the site contains all of the same information navigation has been made easier.  

News items, board meeting information, and account information are available on the site.  If you haven’t already, take some time and explore the new website.

Power Usage and More
The new app is easy to set up; your account number is all you need to get started.  A FAQ section also provides knowledge on a wide variety of topics.

Once you’ve created an account the My Account section of the app to set up your profile and provide information about your home.  In Settings there is a way to indicate if you would like to receive emails or push notifications for billing alerts, which are then found in the notifications portion of the app.  The billing area shows current bill information in addition to billing history.  Here is where you can pay your current bill as well.

Numbers people will find the usage and compare sections of the app interesting.  You’re able to view billing and usage information by dollar amount or kilowatt-hour (kWh).  A chart comparing this year’s data with that of the same month last year is also available.  

Those looking to start new service or request service for an existing account should use the Connect Me and Service areas of the app.  Finally, in the Efficiency section there are savings tips and a list of rebates for which customers may be eligible.  

More Power to You!
The new Light & Power app and website portal is an easy way to find information about your account.  “We feel the app/portal is very user-friendly and most will find it provides a lot of valuable information about the electricity they use!” says LL&P Utility Accountant Julie Stewart.  

If you have a question which is not answered in the FAQ section you can send a message to LL&P in the Notification area of the app.  Or call the office Monday through Friday 8am-5pm and someone will be able to help.
