Lowell Light & Power Visiting Safety Town and the Library for Storytime

We received the following press release from Lowell Light & Power.

Lowell Light and Power (LL&P) values electrical education and safety for young children and engaging with their community. As part of their education initiative, LL&P will be coming this month to the Englehardt/Lowell Library for a special Storytime and to Impact Church for Safety Town!

Kids are invited to the Englehardt/Lowell Library on Thursday, June 8th at 10:30am for a special Storytime. Lineworkers will be reading the children’s book “If I Were a Lineworker”. Plus, there will be a bucket truck outside for kids to see and touch! Storytime is oriented towards kids 0 to 5 years old, with parents and siblings welcome to join.

LL&P will also be a guest speaker at Safety Town on Thursday, June 15th at Impact Church, talking about electrical safety with kids going into Kindergarten.

This summer, LL&P plans to have educational information for kids on their Facebook and Instagram, educating kids of all ages electrical safety and conservation.

Lowell Light & Power has been a Municipally Owned Electric Utility since 1896. Public power utilities are like our public schools and libraries: a division of local government, owned by the community, run by boards of local officials accountable to the citizens. Like all public power utilities, LL&P works hard to provide its customers with safe, reliable, not-for-profit electricity at a reasonable price.
