Lowell Red Arrows End Season in a Heartbreaker

In a tough game between two powerhouse teams, the Lowell Red Arrows lost to Walled Lake Western in the Division 2 semi-final football game.

The game started with Walled Lake Western scoring a touchdown in the first quarter. Then, in a wild second quarter, the teams traded touchdowns with Lowell having two short runs into the end zone and Walled Lake Western scoring on two long runs as well as a field goal.

The Red Arrows were down 24-14 at the half but came back with 13 points in the third quarter, including a 54 yard touchdown run by Nate Stephens. David Kruse ran in for a touchdown in the fourth as well, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Walled Lake Western which won by a final score of 37-34.

Prior to today’s game, the Red Arrows were 12-0.
