The following message went out to parents with students attending Lowell High School.
Hello!
I hope this email finds you all well and still enjoying this beautiful summer! It is hard to believe it is time to start thinking about the new school year. I hope your kids are starting to get excited to return! I wanted to share some dates with you so you know the “back to school” schedule for this year. Please note: schedules will be available on Infinite Campus on Monday August 14 at 12 PM.
Orientation for 10th-12th grade students:
Wednesday August 16, 2017 and Thursday August 17, 2017 9 AM-11 AM and 1 PM-3 PM.
Students (in grades 10-12) can choose the time that works best for them. We ask that they print their schedule out from Infinite Campus and bring the schedule to get their books. Students will also need to have their school pictures taken while they are here for orientation (for the yearbook and id cards). A Lifetouch photo flier is attached.
Freshman Smart Start:
Thursday August 17, 2017 in the Lowell Performing Arts Center (LPAC): 8 AM-11 AM
Freshman students need to be here at 8 AM. There will be a program at the beginning, followed by time to get pictures taken, pick up books, find classrooms, and try their locker combination. J
New Student/Exchange Student Orientation:
Thursday August 17, 2017 in the Counseling Office 1 PM-3 PM
This orientation is for students who are new to Lowell High School, and students who are here visiting for the year. Students will meet with counselors, tour the building, and have a chance to ask questions they may have about the upcoming school year. This year, our school day will again begin at 7:40 AM and end at 2:30 PM. We are really looking forward to seeing all of the kids in a few weeks! Even though we enjoy the summer months, we really miss the building being full and busy!
The 2017-18 school year is going to be a fantastic year!
